Poke Town — Restaurant in California

UPDATE: Management was very helpful and did everything he could to make it right. He listened to my experience and we have been back since. I have updated my review to reflect managements willingness to make the situation right and talk to his employee about customer service.

Original post: I have been going here since they opened but the guy they had working there today should not be employed in customer service at all! I will be putting a call into the manager and it seems several others will be as well he is absolutely horrible to the point that I actually walked out and went somewhere else today. We usually go there a few times a week and I have never seen this guy before but I will definitely not go back there if he stays employed as based on the other reviews this isn't an isolated event. I travel a lot for work and always try to hit a poke place when I'm out and about. This is the first time that I have deliberately left my bowl unfinished, and here's why:

The counterperson was almost purposely unhelpful. I asked him at the outset if he could mix the base and toppings together in a larger bowl and he said he could, but at checkout when I repeated my request he said that they "ran out of the larger bowls to mix in" and that he couldn't do it; The tuna tasted old and had a distinct fishy taste; The sauces applied (ponzu citrus and unagi) were bland and offered nothing towards the experience; The cucumber was not crisp, but soggy and a bit warm; The crab salad was dry and of poor quality.

If you enjoy a good bowl of poke I encourage you to avoid Poke Town, as a vegetarian with a severe meat allergy would avoid a plate...

I orderered a 5 protein bowl , i paid for extra seaweed salad and an extra crab meat , 1st there was no extra of anything i paid for nothing, they charge u for 5 proteins in the same bowl of the 3 proteins , what they do is they make ur protein portion less , imagine 5 proteins with 2 extras managed to make them fit all in same bowl as the 3 protein bowl , I ordered before the 3 protein bowl so what i found in the 5 protein bowl that my protein portion is less literally a bite of each , my veggies was way less + i ordered lobster paid extra for it was not a single lobster in the bowl, these guys are literally a scam i called the lady and she was like noo i put extras like i dont undertand if u think abt it fitting 5 proteins and 2 extras fits in the same bowl of the 3 proteins ....
