Sweet Reba's — Restaurant in California

We stopped in yesterday on our way back to San Francisco and ended up getting an assortment of things to try: snickerdoodle and ginger spice cookie, a coffee cake muffin, a raspberry lemonade cupcake, a mini pineapple upside down cake, and a slice of gluten free red velvet cake. I am a really tough critic, particularly with baked goods since I am a baker myself, I am constantly buying and then tossing out baked goods that are just waaaay too sweet. I was amazed to find that every single one of the things we bought were really good, while they were all sweet (as would be expected of cakes, cookies and cupcakes) none were sweetened to the point of no longer being able to taste anything besides the sugar (which is how I experience most baked goods from other cakes shops). I loved that the cream cheese frosting still tasted cream cheesy, and the raspberry frosting on cupcake still had a strong berry flavor. I wish I would have discovered Reba’s at the beginning of our visit to Carmel, rather than our last day, but I am happy we found them and will be sure to visit whenever we are back in the area. Truly exceptional baked...

Definitely had an off nutrition program slip today but it was kind of worth it. Oh my goodness. Just went to this place today for the first time. Bought a peanut butter cookie. Fantastic! Finished it and came back and got a coconut brownie. Also fantastic. Finished that too and came back for a peanut butter and jelly brownie. Better than the sandwich itself. Polished that off and came back for another cookie. This place is delicious and clearly I'm addicted. The guy at the register was trying to hold back the laughter with the amount of times I snuck back for one more thing. Locals, if you haven't tried this place, definitely worth a stop to help those sweet...

I am from New Orleans, let me start with that. I know good food..... esp. cake. I ordered a cake custom made for my Carmel staff... with very specific design ideas ..less than 24 hours before I needed it. Not only did i get the cake. I got "THE CAKE" IT WAS STUNNING. Not only was it beautiful, it beat every cake maker in the city of New Orleans on taste. It was so good my staff sent me a piece over night via UPS. I kid you not..... it was the best tasting and looking cake I have ever seen. Sweet Reba and her staff deliver like Drew Brees baby....
