The Peasant's Courtyard, caught my eye while put and about from the Sacramento area handling business my worksite in Alamo and made my way in about 11am hoping to try some breakfast. Upon entering, there are some tables and chair arrangements as well as a Bar-counter area. Seated at the bar area, I ask about Breakfast but had missed their serving hours by Half-Hour. Oh well, what comes next but lunchtime. Their menu items is limited to specialty items, but decided on a Burger & Fries. As from my pictures, the Burger is Picture Perfect and tasted pretty good despite a Well Done request for the burger-patty when it was asked. The Patty was.slightly Pink in the center (Medium-Well) was tender, the condiments did their job being so crispy fresh and that Brioche Bun held it all together while being so Soft. I had to eat at least Half of the Fries, (standard fancy size) before they would be considered too cold to consume. Eventually, the Burger and the rest of those fries all consumed and I was satisfied. The wait-staff are friendly and professional. It was a good all around experience. The price point for the meal was a bit pricey more close to Red Robin Gourmet Burger meal (but didn't have nearly as many Condiment choices like Fried Egg for example). I have to give this establishment and Experience an official 4 Stars due to the fact they were unable to provide to honor Military/Veterans Discount. However, this is a nice place and next time that I am in the area from Sacramento in time for breakfast, will want to try.

Good location. Parking is available...but not a whole lot and the spaces are tight (it seems that if one car parks on a line then that starts a chain of cars all parking on or over the lines). The restaurant is small inside, but as the name suggests, it's courtyard is the place to eat. Quaint with plenty of metal tables and chairs. The menu is extensive and should please most people. Had the Chicken spinach salad: was good-ish...the chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. Wife had tunamelt and that was quite good. However, paid an extra $2 to 'upgrade' from fries to Onion Rings and received only 5 small rings.

While we just went to pickup food for takeout, it was worth leaving a review. When passing through for an appt, needed some quick food and didn't want to get fast food. Called to find out what was quick and was told a Chinese Chicken Salad...so grabbed that and arrived 3 min later. Bam, it was ready! Had extra time to wait 2 min for fresh french fries...both food items were delicious! But the service was very fast, helpful, and friendly! Am marking this spot as a fav and will be coming back!

I've been here a couple of times now and absolutely love this place. The restaurant is relatively compact which gives it this intimate and cozy feel when dining here. The service is exceptional with charming staff and the food is delightful with a nice variety of items. I've had the fried artichoke hearts, chicken salad sandwich and my favorite thus far, the fungi sandwich to which I added chicken and bacon based of my server's recommendation. Lastly, their wine selection is quite good, both whites and reds (don't recall having a rose yet) and at reasonable prices. I look forward to going back and trying something new on the menu.

Update as of 11/18/2022 After being away for some time, I have returned to find they have slightly remodeled the place. The bar is no longer there as they wanted to make for more room in the restaurant. I'm happy to say both the food and wine selections are still excellent; they haven't lost their touch. I ordered the blackened salmon caesar salad and it was excellent. The salmon was blackened to perfection and the appropriate amount of dressing mixed into the salad. Oh and service is still charming as can be. Hats off for keeping up...

Over the past couple of months, there have been no less than seven occasions when I have called during business hours in the evening to order take-out. I rang several times on each of those nights. No answer and no message indicating what the status of the restaurant was. At the very least, please have an outgoing message that indicates if you are open or closed. I did bring this to the attention of someone in mid February. Here I am tonight (7:30 p.m. Sunday) having the very same frustrating experience. No idea whether no one's answering or if you've closed for the evening. Apart from the other obvious problems, this shows no respect for your clientele. I hope you can resolve this, as your food is excellent and the employee's with whom I've had encounters are...
