Griffins Grill — Restaurant in Los Alamitos

Tried it for the first time, and the food and Service were both Excellent!! Patty melt, melt in your mouth. Irish Nachos just the right amount of cheese and lots of real bacon! It was nice they weren't salted, since I'm not supposed to be having salt, so they leave it to your taste. Split Pea soup was thick, but not too thick. Tasty, with lots of ham. Husband's cheeseburger cooked Nice. The meat tasted like a very good quality beef! TVs everywhere for a Great view of whatever you want to watch! Went back a few days later for a Retirement party, not mine, and staff remembered me from the few days earlier. Really welcoming! They have a private party room that had a couple of servers that kept coming in/out, seeing what anyone needed, and they were attentive with being obtrusive! Ordered to go, and it came quickly and with all the side stuffs (ketchup, ranch, plastic silverware packets, napkins). No having to ask for anything!! WILL definitely be going back! Our firs visit was great, half the tables were full and we sat at the bar. We didn't eat but the menu looked like it had some good food and the bartender said the menu was going to get an upgrade. Last night we also didn't eat. We came in for the band. They spent a lot of time tuning up and the jukebox was turned down low. The place was pretty busy, we again sat at the bar and our service was fine. But the floor staff were not keeping up and there wasn't a door person. Three girls came in and the bartender told them they could sit at the table close to the door. The floor staff never came by and took their order. The band wasn't playing anything i cared for so we made it an early night. Use larger fonts on your menu, its dark :) get more floor staff or train the ones you have. Book Joan Jett. The good: Ok bartender, big place, booths, and sound on the football game on the laaaaaarge tv.

Bad: The place smells like the cigarette smoke from outside. It looks partly like an old buffet type restaurant inside with a bunch of half moon booths in the back, but with a huge lit up bar area. The hard liquor that’s lit up is basic stuff, & then there are the tvs above. Not the place for top shelf or ‘impress the date’ kinda place. It’s an upscale/ clean dive bar. 😂

But, there’s a Lot of noise during the game. If you’re a football fan, this is the place for you.
