Update 9-26-25 : no coupons are needed for a fair price anymore. Food is real good.

Update (8-29-24) They have gotten sneaky by giving out a $5 off coupon but the food is $12 dollars more. A chili dog (no cheese) is $4.29 and a large fry is $5.29 even after using the coupon you are still paying $3.50 per item (appx) it was appx $1.66 per item using the old "deal coupons" at a set price, which was a good deal. Now it it just a ripoff. I can go to a sit down eatery for that kind of money. .

OK I have to update..went there last night (5-11-24) after Bonnie answered the phone and told me as long as I have a coupon code on my app I could get the deal..1st of all it was nice that an employee answered (Bonnie) the phone when I called...most fast food joints do not answer the phone...instead they would rather have you drive down there with a question which is B.S., with today's gas prices. My total bill after using the coupons was about the same as it was 4 years ago...I was very happy. Food was hot, staff had just dealt with a drunk lady who had thrown food everywhere...yet they just shrugged it off, and were very nice. As long as you have coupons the prices are fair...if you don't...Ouch !!! GREEDY !!! GREEDY !!! Update: 3-25-24 Food was good, prices were B.S. Corporate Greed at its worst. Update 4-8-22: Just called and John answered the phone, said the dining room was open again (Yes)...John had a good attitude. A secret I use...ask for extra chili...it does cost more but you will get enough chili for sure. Staff was top notch (friendly and efficient), food was fresh, the chili dogs were pathetic...no meat and looks like they painted the chili on with a brush...SKIMPY this is the 2nd time my chili dogs were SKIMPY (SKIMPY 1.5 years ago?) I went to the Wienerschnitzel in Bakersfield 1130 Union Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93307 THEY ROCKED !!...you not so much. probably my last visit...

After walking in and being ignored for 2 minutes with 3 people behind the counter working, one doing drive thru one flipping burgers and the manager Jordan acting busy with the hot dog cart, i was rudely greeted by an employee asking what can I get You? I placed my order for a 3 ice creams 2 of which were banana splits and a couple fries, the entire time the counter person was rude and inconvenienced with my order. I then was waiting 10 minutes for my order within that time I was given one freezie. While helping drive thru and the manager still being busy with the hot dog cart I was then told they were out of bananas in the back. I then asked for a refund and asked why it took so long to be notified that they were out the counter person told me she was busy with drive thru. No apology or anything so I asked for a refund which the manager made no effort to right the very inconvenient waste of my time not even a sincere apology. The whole situation from their side was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I got my refund went down the street to Baskin Robbins and purchased my banana splits from there where James was very friendly and happy to take my order. I will not be doing business at this location again. I believe in customer service and their service was very poor and unprofessional. Being a personal friend of the owners family I will be sure to pass this on to them as well. I gave them a one star rating and they didn't even...

Food was terrible if I could give them zero stars I would. The fries were cold, too greasy and hard like chips but much harder. They added burnt watery chili on top of them and to make matters worse they piled a mountain of unmelted cheese on top. The hot dogs had burnt chili on them as well as if they scrapped it off the bottom of the pot the bread was soggy and the hotdogs were cold and uncooked. The man at the window was gossiping with his coworker about family problems while opening the window he didn’t greet me at all just told me the amount. I paid and I took my card back and said “thank you” he didn’t respond he just continued his gossip with his coworker and shut the window in my face. It took them 15 minutes to give me my food which I didn’t understand because I was their only customer and then on top of that everything was disgusting. I almost threw up. This place needs to be reported to the health department because people can get sick. I see why there were...
