Where should I start ? I have been eating at El Toreo for 35 years. I remember very young eating at the one on Sierra Hwy. I haven’t been in about a year. Last time I went to Palmdale Boulevard & 10th st west. Didn’t notice what I did today at this location. I’m not sure if they’re still owned by the same people, but my grandmother new the owner! He would be very disappointed. So we get seated. They bring out the chips eventually I should’ve known then. The chips tasted like hot grease been sitting on them for hours are they were old. The waitress a.k.a. manager was too busy walking around making sure everyone noticed her at one point gone for over 25 mins. The whole process of ordering my food has never been this bad there was definitely a language barrier, considering a bit of Mexican restaurant. No problem we can get through this always have! My enchiladas were cold, my friend ordered a chicken enchilada and a beef taco. She got a cheese enchilada that was cold. My nephew got a wet Carne Asada burrito with no avocado, guacamole, or tomato, which it has guacamole, avocado, & it was also cold. The waitress could’ve cared less about are concerns & what she said the food on the table. She never came back until she brought the check. Every time we asked her for something she had an attitude or she responded in a smart remark. I’m not sure because there was a language barrier or she just had a attitude I’ve never had this horrible service. I’m going to find out if they’re individually owned because I guarantee you this one will not last long. They need to know. This is not what El Toreo is known for. I know the AV is not the same but never expected to go to El Toreo to be so disappointed. Super Sad! Don’t waste your...
Read moreI’ve been going to this place for YEARS!! My now husband and I even had our very first date here. The good definitely outweigh the bad experiences I’ve had here, which was only one bad experience, when I had a strand of hair in my salad, I told the waiter and he was extremely apologetic and gave us a discount. After years of going here, that’s the only bad experience I’ve had. Other than that, this place is great!!! On Sunday’s they have the brunch buffet, it’s really good. I enjoy their Flautas, and their Chicken Enchiladas Rancheras! The service is always great, staff is very friendly and attentive. The chips and salsa are always great. They don’t have much of a variety of desserts, though. Would definitely...
Read moreI do enjoy coming here. No doubt it's kind of still and up and comer. As far as authenticity, though I'm a guerro, mi esposa is latina so I do have a passion for Mexican food. This place almost nails it. That's not to be insulting. The flavor is there most often. It's a great stop for a quick fix of warm savory food.
Service is good but I swear they are always hiring hence the up and comer status.
Highly recommend the Enchiladas con pollo en mole. No doubt the best item on the menu.
So service is good always attentive. Food is good not wow outstanding but legit. Priced accordingly
I come often, at least once a week. So I am biased. Just stop by have a few beers and...
