I am very disappointed that each category allows a maximum of five stars. We have eaten here for years and every part of the experience has genuinely gotten better with each visit (which has increased to, at least, once a week).
The moment we walk in the door, the staff is perfectly friendly and hospitable, starting a truly wonderful experience! Jossie knows my order by heart and that alone makes me feel like I am important to her! To top that off, she does all that she can to accommodate my particular requests ... even when they are not specifically on the menu the way I order. My diet has very tough restrictions and she always finds a way to deliver what I want. Truthfully, her familial-level attitude, personality, and customer service is the quintessential "cherry-on-top!"
The food has been perfect for my strict eating habits! Even though Juniors foundation is seafood, my go-to has become the ribeye. If I had to use only one word to label the ribeye to try to sufficiently describe it, deciding between WOW and PERFECT!! Isaiah has managed to make my perfect steak better each time he has cooked it! He has ruined steak-specific restaurants for me because they legitimately cannot touch what he produces.
To sort of "book-end" the incredible experience at Junior's is the friendly, comfortable conversation and interaction that we always have with Sierra. These moments are genuine and perfectly timed. God always presents the interactions when they are needed most; after a tough day and/or near the end of a trying week.
It is so hard to wrap-up this sharing of how positive the Junior's experience truly is, and has gotten better with each visit. It is also difficult to not identify every single individual that works here because everyone is special and provides outstanding, friendly service. Overall, Junior's makes each visit seem like a family gathering ... the amazing food is a perfect bonus! It is extremely rare for a restaurant to make every part of the experience...
Read more1st time visit...didn't know one had to order at counter. Sat down in booth. Had called earlier to see if chef we knew from Trents was there & HE WAS!! His name is Cam! He will cook to your order perfectly! We want our seafood lightly browned, just cooked..... Not overcooked! As expected it was both perfectly cooked & delicious. Portions are great! Largest portion of delicious green beans I've ever seen served at a restaurant. Simply, the BEST SEAFOOD we've had in Jax! The waitress came over after we sat down, her name is Kayla, we had talked to her on the phone to be sure Cam was there so wanted her for our waitress. She explained every detail.. brought us menus. Had Cam come out for a couple minutes. Later, very nicely mentioned we were supposed to order at counter, as they don't normally take your order at the booth. But..since I am somewhat walk-challenged, she said she'd take care of me anytime I came in! Great place, people! Worth the drive from Westside Jax or anyplace...

But customer service was terrible, brought out a child's pasta that we asked to add shrimp to, paid for it... Waiter comes out with food, that was pretty fast... But no shrimp on the pasta... Sent it back, not long after he brings it back, the cook said this meal doesn't come with shrimp... Yea that's why we asked for it to be added and paid for it... Waiter is adamant that we didn't pay for it... Ticket says I did buddy!!! Go get a manager, I hear them arguing about it, they shouldn't have added... Not my problem, I asked, you obliged, I paid for said shrimp!!! I want my shrimp!!! After sending a very polite young lady, not the manager, we got some shrimp to go with the pasta...
