Jerk2Go — Restaurant in Calumet Township

Thanks. I arrived late at night on a Saturday night for take-out. The restaurant only does take out. I appreciate them being there. The 3 entrées took 45 minutes to prepare. I imagine that's because food is made from scratch, and it's not sitting under heat lamps.

If you want your food "faster" call ahead for your order. After 9 p.m., the restaurant does not do call-in pickup orders. I gave 5 stars all around. Entrées come with a good portion of food.

Be sure to check on your takeout order before you leave the shop.

[My drive from the restaurant was 20 minutes plus another 5 minutes to get settled before I could eat any food. Of course, it was cold by then. I heated it up in the microwave. If you're getting it delivered or have a drive back home, expect that. The reason why I'm stating the obvious here is because I'm not sure if that contributed to the fries and chicken tenders that I ordered being very soggy and oily by the time I got home. It was so oily I could only take one bite and about 5 fries. We liked everything else we ordered. The price was great. I think we should give small businesses the chance to make orders right and even shop them a few times before we give up on their products. Talk to management so they are aware of any issue. Too often, people are overly picky in regards to local businesses, but big national and international chains we don't like service, but we shop there every week without a written or...

Absolutely ecstatic that they got shut down. We picked up many door dash orders from them and the food looked and smelled genuinely disgusting. Without any exaggeration, the food smell was somewhere between burning plastic and old nasty chicken. They refused to let us get a receipt or scan it for delivery purposes. The service was unbelievably bad. The woman and man behind the counter were extremely rude. I legit worry for anyone that ate there because the city just shut them down for health code violations. They did no returns or refunds and they wouldn't even give you a receipt. And they would double bag your food and tie up it tight and yell at you for opening the food inside. And they did this specifically because they often messed up orders and did not wanting you finding out until you left. The poor reviews are absolutely deserved. They literally would intentionally screw your order up and tell you to screw off. Absolutely henious place to eat. They deserve this because they were legit scamming people and had rhe nerve to serve...

I’m very upset it’s Sunday and me and my family were hungry and vibing we decided to order from here we placed a big order and you could here everybody happy and excited because we love food and it’s family time so we’re placing our big order I told him the name on the order was lau he then made a response as if it’s not a real name and told us he was located in Gary we laughed my mom laughed I stated I know where your located this is not my first time but i am letting my family try you all he then said ok total is 123.00 my sister gets there and they tell her it’s 130 something then it went to 140 something he also told her once she pulled her card out that this order does not accept card must be cash so she had to drive around to get cash and then I called and he said there was a shift change and went over the order it was wrong he fixed it only go find out the food was not ready that big orders like that we must pay but was not informed of none of that and babies are hungry never will we support this business...
