Taco Bell — Restaurant in Calumet Township

The worst. Food was up to par. But man, they need new workers in this place, fire them all and hire all brand new. About 6 workers, all doing nothing. After placing my order they went into the back and were on TIkTok. They came back after 10 minutes, a single person taco bell order usually takes no more than 2-3 mins to make. After coming back out they took another 15 mins to figure out how to make mine and another gentlemans order, all while dancing and fooling around. Did not care for their job at all. Should be fired, hate to say it. 25 minutes for a simple Taco Bell order is absurd. They weren't busy, they just didn't care for their job...

This is the second time I went to this taco bell inside the TA. Tonight was a different group of employees than the first time however, both times I was here the employees were ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. Both the order taker, manager standing nearby doing paperwork and the food order maker all not only greeted me but smiled. In food service at a truck stop, in Gary Indiana. Very unusual. My food was made exactly as I ordered. Extra sauce and such. This is A taco bell that mostly deals with truckers, I'm blown away with the customer service and the extra mile these employees went and its truly...

The staff here were friendly enough for a Taco Bell. The location is inside a gas station and surrounded by cages on all sides ”open” sides except one. The prices are a little steeper than you’d find at a standalone Taco Bell, and the cashier informed me (she seemed to be a reliable source) that the prices were set in accordance with the increased cost of their doing business in the gas station’s food court.

Zero things about the experience were improved by this being in Gary, Indiana. If you’re this far into the review and it isn’t too late, just go to a different exit 15 miles...
