I normally enjoy Naf Naf Grill, but this location inside Loves in Gary, IN was a total disaster and needs serious management review.
First, when I ordered a plate and asked for hummus, the young man told me itās an extra charge unless itās spread on the bottom of the plateāwhich makes absolutely no sense. Hummus is hummus, whether itās on top or bottom.
Then, when the āold manā came to explain, he was literally chewing food and talking with his mouth full over the open pans of food. I could see particles coming out of his mouth toward the foodāthatās disgusting and completely unsanitary.
It only got worse when I paid. I ordered a small plate (~$13) but got charged $18.99 for a larger plate. When I pointed it out, the staff and manager argued with me, claiming the charge wasnāt from their locationāeven though the Loves store number was printed clearly on my receipt. They tried to twist the story, saying maybe I scanned too fast and paid for someone elseās food. Thatās a ridiculous excuse, especially since my Apple Pay and their receipt matched.
The staff became loud and dismissive, basically trying to silence me, until a nearby police officer stepped in and told them to show respect and listen. Only then did they stop deflecting, but they never properly corrected the issue or admitted fault.
The most laughable excuse was when one manager said I ādidnāt payā because the transaction showed as pendingāas if every card transaction doesnāt say āpendingā for the first few minutes. That was either ignorance or intentional misdirection.
Overall, this was one of the most unprofessional, unsanitary, and confusing experiences Iāve ever had at a Naf Naf Grill. I usually love the brand, but this location needs immediate retraining, better management oversight, and a reality check on basic customer service and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI come to Naf Naf faithfully. I do not eat meat nor fried foods so this is probably the only best option I have in the area to eat. Hence why I go faithfully. The service is always good. Even when it's bad, it's good because the staff understand my dilemma in being vegan so I love it. But the last TWO encounters I had with NEW employees has made me beyond livid. Atp I'm being discriminated against for not eating meats or fried foods. Being charged anything for $8 for a salad is wild. They charge for every single little thing on the plate but if you get meat, you are charged one fixed price and can load up on veggies and pita comes with the bowl. Very disgusting. Then when you ask why is it so high, the tone and delivery is beyond disgusting. Then to tell me to have a blessed day I'm trying to be condescending...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI go to Naf Naf for the stuffed pitas. I go to just about all of them. I told myself the last time I had a bad experience at this place if it happens again it will be the last time. "Stuffed pita" means stuffed pita. It does not mean a teaspoon of hummus, a tablespoon of meat, a tablespoon of salad, a tablespoon of onions in a flat pita that makes up half of the total weight of this tiny sandwich. Then the arrogant kid behind the counter starts to argue with me about how he can't just fill up with protein. That's not what I want. I want the sandwich made the way EVERY Naf Naf make it except for this one. I told myself that I never buying a tiny sandwich out of this place ever again. Today is that day. Only waste your money here if you want a sandwich that's half the size of every other store, and an...
