For the second time in less than 3 months I have had issues regarding my means of purchasing items in the store being compromised. When I finally tried to address this issue with the Manager, who has been with this location for decades- as I have been a local shopper at this store for decades as well-she did not try to address it in a professional, nor courteous manner, instead she became visibly hostile, loud, aggressive, condescending, and dismissive instead of addressing my issue & concerns as a regular customer. There were several methods by which she could have professionally addressed the issue at hand, instead she chose to become loud and abrasive to a customer who has spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in that store over the course of decades.
Although I trust and value Aldi as my preferred supermarket to buy wholesome and nutritional food, for myself as a cancer survivor, and for my family, by the grace of God, it is not my only source within the Region by which I can purchase food and household goods.
If it requires me traveling 50 miles to get good, friendly customer service, I will never step foot in the Aldi at 3311 Grant Street, because the manager Berta there is very rude and disrespectful as her normal affect disposition.
Customer service requires a certain quality of humanity & professionalism some people need regular training to achieve on all levels.
Aldi prides itself in Quality, I didn't think it meant just...
Read morePrices are excellent at this time of extra incompetent commie government. The store is not very large but it has a variety of high-quality lower-cost items you don't find in other grocery stores. Cheese for example: Brie, camembert, gorgonzola, gouda, goat and others at lower prices. I'm a cheese expert and confirm Aldi Brie and Camembert are equal to top Danish or French cheeses. Many imports are from out of the ordinary places.. I have been buying a $9 red wine at Aldis that was $24 in Chicago 3 years ago. I'm not going to tell you which it is or where its from because I won't be able to get it any more. Danish cookies. Canadian waffles, German Frozen deserts. Wild caught NW Atlantic COD filets. NE pacific salmon.. This is the best, for less! They have just rearranged the store and added many new things. The new layout is fast and I can zoom in and out in a third of the time I would spend in Meijers. Bring a quarter. I also bring insulated multi-'use grocery bags or have an insulated picnic cooler in the trunk so it...
Read moreI have been going here for years and as there is no bike rack I take my bike in (after wiping the wheels at the door) and use it as a cart. However today the security guard said I can't do that. I asked "Why?" he said "Because that's the rule." So I guess they don't want your business if you don't drive a car. Oh well, their loss not mine, as they have gone downhill in recent years; their bananas are always green and never turn yellow, other produce (what little they have, not much options) goes bad quickly, and they don't offer much savings over other stores anymore. And there's several other options in the area that either offer a place to lock a bike or have no issue with taking one in, and are just as accessible via the bus. So I'll take my business elsewhere and...
