I recently had the pleasure of dining at Finney’s Crafthouse in Camarillo for the first time, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience that stood out even more compared to their Ventura location. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the inviting atmosphere and prime location of the Camarillo venue.
For our meal, I chose the chicken club while my guest opted for the crispy chicken sandwich. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to quality and taste. The chicken club was a delightful combination of flavors and textures, with tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of seasoning. My guest’s crispy chicken sandwich was equally impressive, featuring a perfectly fried chicken breast that was juicy on the inside and wonderfully crispy on the outside.
One of the highlights of our visit was the outstanding attention and service we received. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. This level of service was a refreshing change from what I’ve experienced at the Ventura location, where the service can sometimes be a bit slower. At the Camarillo Finney’s, our food arrived promptly, and we never felt like we were waiting too long for anything.
The seating options at the Camarillo location were also fantastic. There was a variety of seating arrangements available, catering to different group sizes and preferences, which made it easy for us to find a comfortable spot. Whether you prefer a cozy booth or a more open seating area, there’s something for everyone here.
Another charming aspect of Finney’s Crafthouse in Camarillo is their creative and humorous approach to promoting happy hour. The sandwich board outside cleverly refers to it as “Adult Day Care 3-5pm,” which adds a fun and light-hearted touch to the overall experience. It certainly made me smile and added to the warm, welcoming vibe of the place.
In summary, my visit to Finney’s Crafthouse in Camarillo was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and well-prepared, the service was quick and attentive, and the seating was readily available and comfortable. Compared to the Ventura location, I found the Camarillo venue to be a superior option in every way. I highly recommend giving Finney’s Crafthouse in Camarillo a try, especially if you’re looking for a great meal with excellent service in a...
Read moreIf you’re looking for great customer service or an overall enjoyable meal experience-don’t come here. After our 1 hour 45 min wait time, we received a text that our table was ready. Upon going to the front desk 1-2 min after getting the text, we were informed that our name was taken off the list because they have a “5-min grace period” (of which we were NEVER informed of) and that we were too late to respond to their text. I tried to explain that we literally just received the text but there was nothing they could do. I asked how come then, they didn’t call out my party’s name and they said that Finney’s doesn’t do they practice of calling peoples names when their table is ready (???). I found this untrue because all night long, while waiting 2 hours, they had been calling out names for other parties. Manager was not sympathetic, was rude, could care less of the inconvenience and told us we had to wait again for a table to be available. Nearly an hour later, we were finally sat down. Thinking things would improve, it actually got worse. Two meals were forgot to be put in and were brought out nearly at the end of the dinner, drink orders took 25 min to arrive and it took nearly 3 staff members to get things right.
Look, I understand they just opened and it does take time to find the right team. However, at who’s expense? I’m paying for the food and so I expect it to be right. Im also a super patient and the first 2-3 mistakes are understandable. But when it gets to the 5th slip up of the night and one of my friends have not received their food 40 MIN after the entire party got their food, that’s just not cool. It’s not anyone’s fault that the staff are undertrained and unprofessional and customers should not get the bad end of the stick due to their...
Read moreFinney's Crafthouse in Camarillo, CA is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area! The service is truly exceptional - the staff is friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience. Even though they are known for their impressive craft beer selection, I didn't even feel the need to try any of their brews because the food was so fantastic on its own.
The menu is creative and diverse, with a range of delectable options that will satisfy any palate. I cannot rave enough about the Pastrami Reuben - the tender, flavorful pastrami paired perfectly with the tangy sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese on toasted rye bread. It was an absolute delight from the first bite to the last. And if you're a fan of mushrooms and truffle, you have to try their Mushroom & Truffle Pizza. The earthy, umami flavors of the mushrooms and truffle oil create a pizza that is out-of-this-world delicious.
From the mouthwatering appetizers to the expertly-prepared main courses, every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with the highest quality ingredients. The presentation of the food is also beautiful, making each plate a true work of art.
The ambiance at Finney's is warm and inviting, with a cozy yet modern atmosphere that is perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a celebratory dinner. The attention to detail in the decor and overall design of the restaurant really heightens the experience.
