Panera Bread — Restaurant in Camarillo

So unfortunately I did not have a good experience this time around. I ordered online for a rapid pick up because I work in the mall and they're usually super fast and it's really convenient. BUT I had a customer service issue when I called when I got back to work to eat my lunch, mind you not even 2min driving distance from the restaurant. The kitchen manager on duty, female, who answered did not handle the situation very well. I ordered at 530, ready to pick up by 540. I get there at 532 (like I said super close) I'm not expecting it to be ready (even though it has been in the past cuz they're that fast!) I'm standing there by the rapid pick up area and I see my order behind the counter (making me to believe not all items are ready, totally fine) BUT I proceed to stand there until 545 with no one saying anything to me and no one put anything more in my bag until the same employee that answered the phone (I know that because she admitted that she prepared my order) came up to me asking if I was waiting for a rapid pick up order and I said yes, it's been behind the counter for over 10 min not touched. She had someone else's order ready. So of course I go back to work to eat it and my sandwich is hard & cold and my apple is rotten. But the best part is when I call to let them know and somewhat complain, all she offers is another apple. I was not expecting a free meal or anything but at least an apology for no acknowledgement of my presence and for the wait. The mac & cheese was delicious as always but my experience was absolutely ruined because of her attitude, excuses, not admitting her fault and not handling a customer service issue very well/professionally. Especially me being a fellow store manager in customer service. I know for a fact if I was sitting down at your restaurant you would've handled the situation differently but It was over the phone and not face to face which is...

I’ve been going to this Panera in Camarillo near the outlet for awhile now and this just a bad experience in general. I ordered coffee and beagles for me and my mom and the wait time is just astonishingly long. We waited for our beagles for 15 mins without our coffee. We waited for at least five more minutes before I decided to let them know that where still waiting for our coffees twice and yes they delivered our coffees but after 30 minutes of waiting but they told us that there out of this coffee. It’s just disappointing that after that mishap, the employees didn’t even apologize for their mistake. They did try to offer us free pastries but we prefer an acknowledgement of mistake but no... During my experience employees seem to not care on what they do, the service is bad and there’s no ounce of hospitality in the store. The team manager Salvador is a delight to talk to. He offered to refund our order and took time to listen to our concerns. He is a model employee which the other staff neglect to even adapt or copy his actions. I do not recommend this to other customers but if your okay with waiting for 30 mins for coffee and get bad customer service,...

Went there for early dinner on Wednesday, Sept 21, 2022, The chicken soup was thin, watery plus salty and only few chunks of processed chicken. The grilled chicken avocado sandwich was pretty good. My Caesar salad was ok. But, I’ll bet no one has cleaned the soda machine recently, because the water tasted moldy and foul. Worst of all, the place was dirty. The carpet was stained plus it needed vacuuming and the windows and sills were dirty, In the bathroom, my wife found the sink dirty and the floors were filthy. She said, the bathroom was just gross. Honestly. I got the impression they are in deep financial trouble or the management is nonexistent. That’s the only “reason” I can think of to let things slide like this. You’ve been warned. Don’t go to this Panera Bread. Read the reviews.

The cookie cutter, meaningless reply by “management” was expected. I won’t be responding to the offer because the place will still be unsanitary.
