Lombardo's Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in Camarillo

My wife and I came in for two sandwiches and while we waiting 5 or 6 young girls came in I can only guess they were just out of school, They went behind the counter and started making themselves sandwiches, sticking there hands in the meats and condiments with out gloves without washing there hands, god knows where there hands have been but six employees were working and not one of them said a word. Last time I eat there. But I do believe there is a health law violation there. Trashed my sandwiches what a waste of money and what is the kicker very little pastrami.on sandwich.this establishment is wrong in so many ways. I’m probably contacting the health department and the city of Camarillo.Lombardo’s please use gloves and hair nets maybe a little soap and water. Pictures speak a thousand words. I ordered a standing rib roast. I wanted a lower cut of meat because the way I cook it a prime rib is a waste of money.

I stated that I wanted choice. I went to pick it up and it was never mentioned that it was a prime rib. I didn't want a prime rib. I wanted a standing rib roast, choice. The young guy behind the counter wearing a red baseball cap was rude when I showed up because I kept trying to confirm what I had ordered.

The older fellow in the butcher area cut up the roast and never mentioned that it was a prime rib. Only after it was cut up and wrapped was it was a prime rib. I pointed out that I ordered choice. The older fellow smiled and lied to me. He said they are all called prime rib. No, they are not. If it is a choice cut, then it is a standing rib roast.

I took the roast because it was last minute, and I had committed to doing it. The cost wasn't the issue. Next year, Ralphs, Vons, anywhere but Lombardo's.

Well I came in here last Thursday and got a fantastic warm pastrami on the multi grain. Came back today and made a mistake I ordered the turkey on the multi grain. No she said they were out of it. So I ordered it on the wheat bread terrible fall apart bread absolutely NO flavor to the very cold turkey and cold lettuce and very cold tomatoe.if your going to carry Boars head you should at the least have the Maple honey turkey even if you have to charge more. I went back in kindly to tell the young girl the difference and how lousy the sandwich was. She had a blase attitude and did Not offer to make me another sandwich. I wish the very nice senior lady that was there last week was there. She is class and knows...
