Masa Sushi — Restaurant in Camarillo

I do not know how they are at 4 stars. I mean for the kind of customer service you get, food, place, disgusting bathroom. I would give them negative stars. The server that was a tall guy is the rudest and most unprofessional I have ever seen. Terrible doesnt even describe the experience. My husband and I came on a Sunday early dinner since we were in the area and wanted sushi and this place had good reviews so we wanted to give it a try. Worst experience! food wasnt great, literally filled with Wasabi and the ice cream that was melted was something else! we got the Sushi Masa boat A which comes with miso soup and the sushi boat and dessert** what they dont say is that its just ice cream, which is fine but when you bring melted ice cream and treat us like were slaves even though were customers and paying for our food, this is not acceptable!!! so he just tosses the ice cream like that on the table and he mumbles which you dont understand a thing and leaves. that guy is on the phone the whole time. There was another customer who asked for something and this guy huffs and puffs! I cant! you're clearly lack the skills to treat customers properly! so he brough ice crem and left! so when my husband and I tried to eat it, it looked its melted. so now when want to get a server attention, but guess what, this guy is in the kitchen playing with his phone! so the chefs by the sushi bar I asked them, they called him. He mumbles again and he just brings the check! umm wth! when we tell him its metled, he says oh yea the fridge is not working! so its okay to bring customers a melted ice cream when its something we have paid for! they did have another ice cream which were the macroons and it was by the door. When we asked him about what can he replace it with, he says nothing and that we didnt pay for it but technically its part of the "boat". ridiculous. screw this place for the disgusting food, disgusting bathroom, style, this guy!...

I don't understand why this place has such great reviews. Maybe my experience was garbage because I went on a Tuesday, but omg... first they gave us insanely flat sodas, so I told the server and she brought me a water, my partner didn't care, he was fine with flat soda. We ordered appetizers and our food, and she brought out our soup, and it was cold. Not room temp or even warm. Cold. Then we get our food... I asked about our appetizers and she goes, "Oh yeah, you did order that." Goes to the kiosk, right next to it table, then says, "It didn't go through." No kidding. Kind of hard to go through when you never put it in. I did not say this, mind you. I just let it go. She walked away and never came back to our table. Not once. Not even to see how the meal was. The food was sub-par at best and I don't know how you can screw up chicken teriyaki so horribly, but my guy was so hungry he ate it anyways and asked if i wanted to go somewhere else for a better dinner. Someone else dropped off the check, and the soda was still on there. Fine. Whatever. I don't want to fight it, or even be here anymore. I have never in my life left no tip, and neither has my man. This was a first. But she came just to pick up our check. Didn't look to see if the soda was removed, nothing. She can remove the soda and keep the $4. The whole experience was garbage. I will never be back. You couldn't pay me to return to this disgusting...

This used to be our favorite sushi place Large portions, great prices We have been regulars for a while and always know what we want without looking at the menu. Recently we came in for dinner and were told "we're closed" I said "I thought you close at 9pm" (it was just before 8:30 when we walked in) He said "well we already did last call" Surprised last call would be so early before closing, I asked "what time is last call?" He said "8:30" I looked at my phone and showed him the time "it is 8:30" He said "we already called it, take out orders only." A half before closing seems a fine time to arrive at a restaurant, especially if you already know what you want. Since it was (before this) our favorite place, we were really disillusioned by being turned away a full half hour before closing when even by their claim that 8:30pm is last call, we were still there in time. I think they just wanted to go home early maybe? But it didn't seem to make much sense. I've never known of a 30 minute last call, but now we know not to come here for dinner even if it's...
