The shift lead (I think he was at least) big guy on the 2nd around 12:30m was extremely rude and degrading to his employees. He seemed like he was messing around but was telling them "the floors better be spotless" to one girl and yelled it so everyone could hear. Did that with every employee and mocked them when they called out orders and things of that matter. I work in the food industry and have for a while so I get the playful banter but this extremely unprofessional and annoying to have to listen to while I was trying to enjoy my lunch. I also was waiting to ask for ketchup because the girl didn't even ask me if I wanted sauce or anything (which was not a big deal at all since I work in the food industry and have 100% patience and am never EVER rude to people that make mistakes because that's bound to happen and are most often not their fault). Don't shoot the messenger people! The front register proceeded to walk to the back and didn't offer me ketchup so the shift lead called him out and said that was rude (I apologized to the other employee and told them it's not a problem at all). The manager on duty proceeded to call out the employee in front of everyone instead of getting off of his lazy ass to help me himself. This was both embarrassing for me and the cashier. I've been a shift lead before and that does not just entail training people. You need to be professional about it and also help the team out even if they do have to pick up slack. I was annoyed for the 5 minutes there and had to leave because I couldn't stand it. I didn't complain to corporate to let them know about their "manager" so they are aware of this behavior. They didn't send me an apology telling me that they'd look into the matter (which I'm very doubtful that they actually will but who knows) and actually sent me a couple free combo meals in the mail which did leave a better impression on me. I'm not sure if I just had a bad experience, but that was the one time that I was there. Take that how...
Read morePicked up an order on Christmas Day. This location no longer has cashiers, and interaction with employees is pretty much non existent. All ordering is through the app or on the store’s computer kiosks. While waiting for my order, I overheard a young, brunette-haired, white male manager with a mustache say to his coworkers in the back, “if anyone thinks I care about the timers today, they must be on crack.” This manager also responded to a customer complaining about the wait time by saying “I can’t do anything about it. I only have two cooks.” On that note, I used to work at McDonald’s, and noticed that the kitchen monitors were blank for much of the time I was waiting for my food. This means the kitchen had completed the food and that the manager lied and was having us wait pointlessly as he and others very slowly and leisurely packed the food. Hence why I waited 20 minutes for my order. A middle-aged, black-haired Asian male returned from break and ignored a customer trying to ask him something. With the virtual setup and lack of the cashier/customer interaction, these workers feel entitled to treat customers as they please and hide out in the back while acting immaturely. Paying these guys $20 an hour was...
Read moreInside Visit: 2025/03/24 My wife, grandson and I were coming back from Thousand Oaks and we stopped at this location. Now I normally go through this location's drive-thru for breakfast or lunch. I haven't been inside since they stopped "renovating."
And I use the term "renovating" very loosely.
For one, there are no more places for you to walk up to a person to take your order. Only kiosks. WTF? Is the franchise owner really that hard-up for cash to get rid of employees? This is bad. And the kiosks aren't very convenient. You have to literally tap over and over your selection and it keeps running you through little side-quests like upgrading your order.
IF I WANTED TO UPGRADE MY ORDER TO A LARGE, I WOULD HAVE SELECTED "LARGE."
The other thing is the inside seating area was VERY unkempt. The WHOLE time we were there, which was about a half hour to eat, I never saw ONE person come out to clean the area. Trash on the tables, papers and busted ketchup packets on the floor, nothing was wiped down. A half hour. A HALF HOUR.
Needless to say, this McDonald's has lost me. Never going back to it. At least Jack in the Box had the better idea to get rid of their kiosks. These things are VERY...
