I will preface this by saying that I understand Monster Bagels has a cult-like following, as I too was once obsessed with them. However, essentially since a few months after opening the food truck — and especially since opening the brick and mortar shop, the quality has gone down the drain in all aspects.

The customer service at their new shop is sub-par, nicely put. There is complete lack of organization, and no structure. I watched 4 other customers place their order long after me, and receive their food well before me. I had a small, uncomplicated order. Numerous health code violations (sorry, gotta point them out) that really need to be remedied; lack of hair nets for long haired employees, bagels uncovered, gloves not being properly used or changed, as well as other issues were noticed during my near 1 hour wait. Also, being rude to your employees is a bad, bad look.

In my order, one bagel was burnt and blackened, one was not toasted despite requesting it toasted. The burnt bagel would have been delicious with it’s toppings but the taste of charcoaled bread ruined it. The wait to receive these was atrocious and inexcusable, but I’m glad the customers that happily walked out after a short wait enjoyed their drawn out conversations with employees.

I’m really disappointed as we used to adore Monster Bagels as many other locals do, but for me — this was my final visit. Hopefully you guys can remedy these issues because they will too turn others away...

Mark and his crew at Monster Bagels are absolutely fantastic. I have been all about his food ever since he popped up in the parking lot of a laundromat working out of a glorified trailer as a food shack.

Now that he finally is in a proper restaurant space and can do all the sandwiches and hot food that he planned as well? This man is unstoppable. He is bringing a New York style bagel shop/deli to small town South Carolina, and I could not be more for it.

This restaurant brings something unique and amazing to Camden and I cannot wait to see how it keeps growing and amazing myself and all the other customers with the wonderful food and services provided.

If I could rate higher than a 5 I would, and I will absolutely never stop recommending that people...

We've been waiting for their brick and mortar to open since they announced it was coming. The food was fantastic! I tried the steak, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, and it was great. The bagel was fresh, the steak and egg was cooked to order, and it was very flavorful. We also got an assortment of bagels with some chocolate chip cream cheese for my kids, and they loved them. Despite this being their first weekend open, and a huge crowd, they were efficient and got everyone taken care of as quick as possible. For service as good as this, and freshly prepared food with a good taste, I don't mind paying a little more and waiting if I have too. Great job to the Monster...

AMAZING-this NY girl found a piece of home here in SC!! I knew their bagels were good because we stopped by when they were just a food truck. But this time we got breakfast sandwiches and it took me right back to being in NY (don't worry we got a dozen + bagels to take home too)!!! There was a wait but the phenomenal service, and great food was well worth it!!! So happy to see them so busy I hope it continues, thank you to the team at Monster Bagels for a great breakfast- keep up the good work!!!

Found this place on accident. I'm glad I did,I would come here every day if I could. I'm like three hours away. Best bagel ever. They're not skimpy on the bacon and eggs on their breakfast bagel. The guy working was friendly and nice. Poor fella was doing everything by himself. Nobody else was working with him, but the service was still good. That guy needs a raise. The only negative thing I could say ,and it's really not that bad, is that they charge $1.50 for some no-name brand bottle water.

I live in CT, visiting family in Camden and heard Monster Bagels was where it’s at! Went in for a sesame bagel, but they were sold out. WHICH IS AMAZING!! So, I settled for an everything bagel, bacon, egg and cheese. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I love having a taste of home, away from home. The two guys working, were so friendly and easy to talk to! Customer service is a huge thing for me! Highly recommend this place and cannot wait to go back! Sorry I missed you Mark!
