McDonald's — Restaurant in Camdenton

Horrible for 5 years running.

I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Upon the first bite, boiling water shot from the sandwich. Adding to the thermal properties was the spicy Mayo substance, which lit my lips on fire worse than that time I got maced by the cops.

I’ve been traveling this route twice a month for a decade. About twice a year I stop here and eat, and each time I tell myself I’ll never return. Either the service is bad, or the food is. This time it was both.

I went back into the store and and was asked by someone appearing to be a manager what was wrong with it, to which I replied if I wanted to eat microwaved chicken with hot sauce on it, I’d have eaten at home. They don’t microwave anything, she said. I opted for a replacement with the crispy chicken deluxe. That’ll be an up charge, she told me. Having left my wallet in the truck I opted for a standard spicy chicken replacement. It was lackluster, at best. Like if chick fil a had a really bad day, this still wouldn’t be as good.

Look, I’ve been eating food for forty years now. A bun should not be steaming hot. I’m not sure the exact method by which it was reheated, but either way, it’s unnatural and should be a criminal offense.

Don’t waste your time. Drive on down the road to the Osage...

I don’t usual write reviews....however, I’m frustrated. We go to this McDonald’s a lot because we do a lot of business in Camdenton. My kids, of course, want McDonald’s. Unfortunately, this is the closest McDonald’s unless we want to drive to the Lake. Our order is wrong more than it’s right. We buy large fries, they fill it to a medium. Many times our drinks are not at all what we order. Today, I pull up to the speaker to order, no other cars around, start giving my order and they abruptly ask me to hold on. So...I do. In the mean time, two cars pull up and their orders are taken and then someone starts speaking to me as though I just got there. We pay, I go to get my food and once again, order a large fry and it’s filled up like a medium. The mighty kids meals I ordered were with extra fries. They were given two of the smallest package of fries (not the paper smalls...the extremely small smalls) and THOSE weren’t even filled. I know they make good money on those fries...at least give us enough to not be so sick of how much we’re already paying for them....like I said, I don’t write reviews but as much as we find ourselves going there, I would think our orders would be correct and without issues more than it is. I don’t want to come off like an asshole because I’ve worked in fast food before and I’m very patient and understanding…but I ordered 2 sweet teas today and even went over my order at the first window because there was confusion, only for my order to get messed up worse. I asked for 2 sweet teas and ended up paying for 2 dr. peppers…those drinks sound nothing alike lol. at the second window I explained there was confusion and that we got sweet teas, only to be told I can’t have a sweet tea when I asked for one because it’s not made and will take a couple minutes to brew. I had no issue pulling up to wait for my sweet tea, but instead they told me I can’t have sweet tea. I’m not sure if they were trying to get away with giving me soda but I’d much rather be informed that there’s no sweet tea. Im also confused why the employees at the first window didn’t tell me there wasn’t any tea. I understand there can be miscommunication and people at the registers may not be aware of what they’re out of, but don’t tell me I can’t have what I ordered just because it “takes a couple minutes to brew.” Have me pull up, I’m more than...
