Frequent visitor to CN. We enjoy the food, drinks, and most of all the personal service. BUT, on this visit, we left with a bad taste in our mouth. We know that there is an age requirement after 9pm (“no one under 21 after 9” is posted on the door ) so we rushed to get there because of our 20 year old daughter. We were sat at 8:47 and ordered drinks and nachos. Our daughter was sat at 8:51. The server came over and told us that she would have to leave. There were clearly young kids there at other tables that were not close to checking out. We asked for some clarification as to the policy does not say “ no admittance after x:xxpm”. We asked when the cutoff was and nobody could answer. We were jot rude or offensive as we frequent there often. Our daughter was so embarrassed when she was kicked out that I doubt that she will ever return. Usually, multiple servers stop by the table to see how things are going…. Not one stopped by because of the encounter. I had to ask a passing server for the check. We finished our food , We paid the bill, including tip all before the other tables with young kids were wrapping up. We asked to talk to the manager and there was some confusion as who would talk to us. We we planned the scenario and the server had told the manager that our daughter was seated after 9. Untrue. The manager never apologized but just said that the management team would have to talk about it. To say I was disappointed is an...
Read moreThis has always been a favorite place for us to go. Hubby loves the fish. Obviously, covid has created some obstacles, but we went tonight and service was unfortunate. Waited for a server to order a beer for quite some time, and finally was able to grab one that was extremely nice and efficient. Placed food orders with s different server and hubby ordered the all you can eat fish. Never once was it stated kitchen closes at a specific time nor when another server brought the food was it asked if he'd like another order put in as the kitchen would be closing. My sandwich was dry, but thats probably because it was missing the mayo, but still ok. The friendly server came by again and asked if we needed anything, which is when my husband ordered a refill on the fish. She came back about 2 mins later saying the kitchen was closed. Apparently, the deadline was missed by literally 2 mins. Though there was no problem charging for sure! The bubbly server came to take up the bill and I asked if there was a fish dinner and explained what had occurred. She was super helpful and said she would talk to her manager. She came back and said he said to charge for the lunch price...$1 less.... This was really a disappointing visit. He would have ordered something else had he known. I feel like covid had brought down the customer service experience at most food establishments, but I was hoping this wasn't true of...
Read moreOur first time here; we went right as they opened at noon on a Sunday and the place filled up quickly, I'm guessing a testament to its popularity. I'd followed them a while on Facebook after seeing a friend talk about them, so we took a shot.
The help was very friendly and got our order going right away; the wife had a chicken and cheese roll-up (essentially a wrap), made with crispy chicken, and tater tots, and I had the Dom, which was an Italian sub on cibatta with salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce and tomato, with Italian dressing on the side. I also had fries with the Dom. Both the tater tots and the fries were perfectly done, golden brown and crisp. The wife enjoyed the wrap, though she noted she'd probably try it again with grilled chicken, which is the other option in the wrap. She also liked the Italian dressing that came with my sandwich and said she thought it would be good on the wrap rather than mayo next time.
She got my dressing because I didn't feel like the Dom needed it: it was perfectly toasted, and the meat and cheese gave a nice flavor on its own. The cibatta was crispy and had a good flavor as well. We both had pops rather than partake of adult beverages on this visit. The price was decent as well, so overall we enjoyed it and will be back, as we saw other items on the menu that sounded good and we're contemplating taking family with us when...
