Sultan's Express — Restaurant in Canton Township

Ordered for the first time over the phone. Very pleasantly surprised. The guys in the restaurant were very pleasant and friendly. Portion sizes were excellent, no skimpy meals here. The rice was perfect, not too much butter and nicely seasoned. The hummus was very good (just a touch too much lemon juice). I ordered the Sultans combo, the Shish Kafta was perfectly cooked, not dried out, the chicken and beef kabob was also cooked expertly, not dried out, and well seasoned the falafel were also very nice not dry and mealy . One in my party ordered the Chicken Shawarma Pita wrap and loved it. A very healthy amount of pita was supplied for dipping and sopping. The only mild disappointment was the Fattoush salad it could have used more parsley and a little less romaine lettus. All in all it has made the list of places to return...

Foods tasty but it’s not fresh . I don’t like short cuts . I get it’s called “express “ but don’t advertise your photos to be as fresh food when it’s quick easy and basically fast food . Chicken wings are packaged and already half fried but on the website shows fried chicken that looks like it was battered just before frying it . Mine as well be Coney Island then . The vegetables were way over cooked and was just a bag of vegetables overly boiled . If that’s the case I’m sure the lentil soup is canned and the hummus is too . The food is also overly priced to be packaged quick food . Imagine wendys charging you $16 for 12 nuggets and a side of veggies . Ridiculous . You guys need to lower your prices if you’re going to serve frozen bagged food. If I wanted that I’d just go to the grocery store and buy frozen wings...

Today was my first time here. To my shocking surprise, the owner is my dad's good friend. I was pointed here by my best friend who is a local of Canton while myself living opposite side of town. Anyhow, onto the food review, let's just say 5 stars isn't enough for this place. I've been eating middle eastern food all of my life and know authentic middle eastern food when I see it. This place really impressed me. Just wish it was closer I'd be here every other day. The owner is truly a man of the people, highly recommended and respectful.
