I decided to try this place out for breakfast as it was recommended to me by friends. This place was SUCH a let down.
We arrived on a Saturday morning and it took about 15 minutes to be seated. Okay, they were a bit busy (even though I saw open tables) but I let it slide. Then, while we are waiting, we see others who came in clearly after us being seated before us. The hostess comes over and says “Oh, we wanted you all to have a premium seat, so we are working on clearing a table for you. That’s why it’s taking longer.” A bit odd since we didn’t specify a certain table. So they finally take us to a booth, seated right next to the bathroom. Not ideal. Plus, the couple that they sat before us were literally sitting in the booth immediately behind us. Not very “premium” I gotta say.
Next up was service. Our service was awful, to put it plainly. Our waitress was too busy walking around and talking to other servers to even get us drink refills. For $3 per soda/tea, you better get as many refills as you want. Near the end of our visit, we had to fight to get the check, to-go boxes and to-go drinks because our waitress was too busy talking to the other servers. She would go and take care of the table immediately behind us and turn around the other direction. It was like we didn’t even exist. And when we did request our items to go, it took her at least 10 minutes to come back with them because we literally watched her walk around the store doing everything but get our things.
Now, onto the food. I ordered the Classic with eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. The eggs were okay, bacon okay, the home fries were disgusting. Literally inedible. They were SEVERELY undercooked and had some weird spicy (?) seasoning on them? I ended up not eating any of the “potatoes.”And all of the food was soooo salty. My friends ordered the Homestead Platter and another classic. The other Classic’s scrambled eggs were undercooked. ALL of the dishes had undercooked border lining on raw potatoes with the strange seasoning. ALL of the dishes were extremely salty with absolutely no other flavoring. It was as if the chef ran out of seasoning and thought “oh, let me just dump salt on it and it’ll cover everything up.” I think my blood pressure was up after this visit. And one of my friends struggles with high blood pressure- he did not have a fun day after we ate here. Although the prices were reasonable compared to other breakfast places, it didn’t even matter if half of the food wasn’t consumed. For about $40 without tip, it’s kinda crazy.
Between the non-existent service, the strange seating arrangement at the beginning and probably the worst breakfast food I’ve ever ordered from a restaurant, this is a hard pass for me.
I would also like to add the bathroom was DISGUSTING. There were no paper towels, no soap, the floors were covered in filth. You could tell it had not been cleaned in a long time. If the bathrooms looked like that, who knows what else is going on in the kitchen...
Read moreWe really, really wanted to like this place...hopefully once they've been open a while they'll improve their performance. We went on a Sunday morning & had about a 45min wait which is to be expected. However, upon being seated there were SO many open tables - not for social distance reasons but just not being able to handle full capacity. The waitress was super nice, very friendly & we really liked her. We ordered right away - since we'd been waiting we already knew what we wanted. We waited probably another 30min for our food & were a little surprised when the table next to us (who had been seated maybe 20min) received their food. We quickly noticed, however, that our food had been delivered to their table. The owner came over and explained (he brought the food to the wrong table himself...), apologized & told us our meal would be comped. At this point, we knew whatever came out of the kitchen wouldn't be great as they'd be rushing...we were right. 20 minutes later our food came out. Modifications not made, potatoes undercooked, sloppy food & presentation. We spoke to the owners but after a 45min wait & another 45-60min wait for food we were frustrated and done. The wait staff was extremely friendly so it was just a shame to have such a poor experience. Hopefully they will work through these opening...
Read moreWe were super excited to try this place after looking at the menu online. The inside is super clean, inviting, and nice. We were seated promptly and were told our server would be with us soon. After several minutes of waiting, the other servers got our drink orders because our server was too busy socializing with all his other tables. Finally, he came over to take our order. When our food was ready, we watched it sit in the window for several minutes while all the other servers walked past it, our server continued to socialize with his other tables, and the line cooks yelled “order up!” Finally, another server brought us our food, and my burrito was not made correctly. I waited for our server to come back to ask how our food was, but he never did. I had to ask another server to have it corrected. Finally, when the new burrito was made, our server came by and delivered it. But placed it across the bar next to my boyfriend. So i had to reach over my boyfriend to get my food. I get that people have bad days, i was a server for 10 years, but the lack of attention to detail was so severe. The staff is very young, and i think it would have helped to have a manager on site. Unfortunately, we will likely not go back. We wish you...
