We have been here twice and both times that we went here to eat the young lady who served us had a attitude the 1st time she didn’t even ask my fiancé if he was done with his food she assumed before she picked up the plate he wasn’t done as I was saying of course his reaction he was gonna just let her take the plate because he didn’t want to say anything but his facial expression said it all I knew that he wasn’t wanting to say anything to start anything so I spoke up for him and told her he wasn’t done she said she was sorry but after that she had a attitude the rest of the night serving us she doesn’t know how to say your welcome at all and she just didn’t seem like she wanted to serve us when I said something about her picking up his plate when he wasn’t even done when you’re serving you ask before you take anyone’s plate off the table it’s to make sure they’re done the 2nd time we came in same server which I wasn’t to crazy about because of our last trip in she had a attitude again I don’t know what her deal is if she doesn’t like us or what but we wasn’t rude or anything to her said thank you but as soon as she got a refill for my fiancé she slammed the drink on the table didn’t even place the drink in the right spot and wasn’t even paying attention she didn’t seem pleased with serving us and because of her attitude towards we will not be back she obviously didn’t like serving us if she wants to do well in the serving world she needs to keep a positive energy and attitude as I worked fast food I know serving people and dealing with people isn’t easy as some people are rude and just to much to handle but we were just in to eat some good food nothing against the place just terrible customer service and didn’t feel very welcomed in so we...
Read moreHave been eating here for 10 years and the experience last night with server/bartender Pamela C left me seething. Discovered a small triangular piece of plastic in my taco and stopped eating it. Pointed it out to another bartender who went to get Pamela to address the issue. I worked in the hospitality business for 30 years, so I get it. Mistakes happen. Did not ask for a manager, did not ask for the whole dinner to be free, simply pointed out I did not want to pay for that one taco. I know it is not the bartenders fault and still planned to tip my usual 25%. She took the plate, went to the kitchen and returned to tell me that the object was the peel from an onion. I asked for her to give me the plate so I could test that answer. She refused to give me the plate and said it was a piece of lettuce. The other bartender confirmed it was plastic, and when I asked why she was being so abrupt and dishonest about it, he said “That’s just the way she is” but this girl……she proceeded to tell us we could just pay for the beer and I said “ Okay” and handed her my card to pay. Rather than ring me up, she said I could pay upfront. Never had to do that before. Her attitude assured that her tip was now going to be nada. She then joined the conversation I was having about her attitude with the hostess and denied being our server. What is my solution to this. I will not set foot in the place again and will tell everyone I know to stay away. That’s just the way I am. 2 stars given as the rest of the...
Read moreWent to eat at Viva last night (as we do regularly, usually once a week.) Woke up this morning to find not one, not two but 3 charges upon logging into our bank account. I'm sorry but I know not one restaurant that charges you 3 times. My husband just went up to the restaurant and they said that because they were "pending" there was nothing that they can do and it will probably be several days before the other charges are dropped. Meanwhile we are currently out the money until the hold is released. They showed little concern that our card was charged 3 times in the first place and weren't apologetic in the least. As I have said, we have eaten here pretty much weekly since they have opened but will definitely not be coming back after this fiasco.
I will also add that I do not expect any response from the restaurant. If you look back at previous reviews, the only reviews that appear to be responded to are those which show the restaurant in a positive light. I would imagine that if management really cared about improving some of their patron's negative experiences they would be more willing to reach out and respond in hopes to resolve some...
