This Kentucky Fried Chicken is really good. The chicken was warm, juicy, and flavorful with a crunchy skin; the biscuit soft and new; the mashed potatoes with gravy creamy and seasoned. What a treat. Kentucky Fried Chicken depends on which place you buy it from in terms of how good it is. One location you go to the product can be cold, dry, greasy or not fresh as it has sat unsold for awhile â or, it can be hot, moist, crispy and newly made right from the fryer. What a difference.
When my partner had a craving for some the other day, we pulled into the Canton location to buy a bucket to bring home, I reminded him we didnât know how their chicken tasted, so we agreed to get a boxed meal to sample. The $5.99 meal consisted of a drumstick, thigh, biscuit, mashed potatoes with gravy and the chocolate chip cookie theyâve added for awhile.
Growing up, family and friends used to bring a bucket to tailgate at football games throughout my youth, and then later on occasion, friends would bring some to an event or on a trip. Rarely eating at KFC because of the calories these days, when I do, I expect the KFC to be what made this brand a national success thanks to Colonel Sanders. Many people have told me from years ago to today how they bought some the other day and were disappointed with the chicken. It probably helps to go during busy lunch or dinner hours, but this is not always true, as itâs really the place or the people working at the time that makes the difference and how good the product being sold to consumers turns out.
The best KFC I ever had was in Allentown, PA returning home from a long road trip. A random selection, this KFC restaurant was like no other Iâve seen â modern, airy, big and bustling. You can find a photo of it online. At this time I donât think Iâd had KFC in maybe 15 years, but I was starving and the smell of the fried chicken in this establishment would drop any hungry person to their knees. Again, KFC at its best.
Their chicken is the blue ribbon winner of maybe all KFCâs in the country though I will never come close to trying them all and donât know anyone who will. The place was so busy but the service was fast and with this kind of turnover, the chicken was heavenly. Every mouthful was fried chicken perfection. Glad I donât live nearby. For now, this branch will suffice just fine, but not having been here in some time, I had a bit of a sticker shock at $36.99 for 16 pcs. of chicken that comes with eight biscuits. Look for advertised...
Read moreWorst service possible. Every time I go here there is something wrong with my order, something missing from my order, or some food I didn't order at all. Staff don't care or bother to tell you there may be a wait after you've paid. You'll sit in the drive through for 20 minutes at the window and no body will let you know what's happening or how long it will take. Drive through is one lane so after waiting 20 or 30 minutes you aren't even able to leave until you get to the window. Manager cuts corners and delegates poorly so that the staff is confused and behind schedule all the time. This happens every single time I go here. One time I ordered mashed potatoes and was given Mac and cheese. When I went into the store to have it replaced, the manager wouldn't talk to me. She had a staff member tell me that they were out ofashed potatoes. So instead of asking if I wanted to substitute they just gave me Mac and cheese hoping I wouldn't notice and wouldn't come back. I was given no apology but they did give me a coupon for a free taco next time I order. This coupon is useless because I won't ever order food from here again. Please fire the management staff and actually train the employees to do their job correctly and I will be happy to try...
Read moreI love KFC food. I mean it's one of my favorite fast foods. But this location lacks something. I keep wondering if they are on the verge of closing. My last 2 visits about 3 weeks apart were very disappointing. One visit was when I stopped for dinner. I had a craving for fried chicken. I always get the original recipe but upon ordering it this time at the drive thru I got told "I'm sorry but we are out of chicken". At first I thought she was kidding me. But when I said "you're kidding, right?" She quickly responded "No" and asked "would you like something from the Taco Bell menu"? Heck no. I wanted KFC chicken! So I left without any food. Last week I stopped at this same location and asked for my original recipe KFC at the drive thru again. This time I was told "I'm sorry but all we have is extra crispy". đ Well I took it but I won't ever again. It definitely doesn't taste nearly as good to me as the original recipe. So if you visit this location, don't be surprised if they are out of something you're craving. Twice in 3 weeks isn't deserving of even 3 stars but like I said, I love their chicken (when...
