I read all of the 5 Star reviews, my experience was greatly different. First off, the place is cute and cozy but feels a little cramped, especially when it fills up. The parking is quite a far walk to the front door, especially when it’s cold out. The meal started out with room temperature water delivered to the table. Our orders were quickly taken. We ordered the appetizer sampler, beef pho, beef drunken noodles and crispy chicken pad Thai (Thai hot). The appetizer sampler had 3 fried shrimp, 3 spring rolls, 3 crab filled pastries and 3 fried wontons. Everything tasted and looked the same and felt very much like it all came from the frozen food section right into their fryer. It was underwhelming.
The Beef Pho was the biggest disappointment of it all, almost sent it back. It was cold, the noodles were soggy and the meat was very pungent. They did not serve any Sriracha or hoisin with the pho. The bowl was so small I almost thought it was a child’s size or a joke.
The drunken noodles were very classic, pretty tasty and what I would expect from a classic Thai dish. It was on the sweeter side.
The pad Thai was just ok. The noodles were not typical pad Thai noodles but more like rice noodles and they were absolutely soggy. The flavor was just ok and the presentation was good. The crispy chicken was great. The spiciness was on point.
Overall this place has the frame of a good restaurant but lacks the soul and guts. I would also like to point out that the staff is very friendly and very on point with drink refills and customer service. That part was not forgotten or unappreciated.
Edit: First of all, I was being kind and generous with my review because i overheard your back story and appreciated what was said. That being said, since you feel it necessary to dive into details, I will gladly oblige. I don’t care if Pho is your national dish or something just on your menu, it should not be served cold and should be served with fresh meat. Might I recommend A Dong in West Hartford for all of your Asian grocery needs. When I make Pho, I shop there, and it’s always served piping hot. If your going to use rice noodles in your Pad Thai, at least don’t over cook them. When I was in Thailand, I never saw rice noodles in the pad Thai but what do I know :) I appreciate your well thought remarks about we eat how you eat, it sounds nice. The one thing that inspired this edit is the fact that not a single person in your restaurant asked us how the food was, not one time. I was asked about 10 times if I wanted water tho. Everyone WAS very nice, but never did they ask how the food was because I would have gladly told them, and told them I was there to review the restaurant. Good luck with everything, I don’t do well with excuses but that doesn’t take away from the very nice people you’ve got working for you. They were great, just like my...

You'll find it on the menu under "Belgian House Mousse" made authentically and daily by their Belgian partner with whipped cream on top and fresh fruit toppings. No fruit with this takeout order, but not needed. Really delicious.
August 2024 - Meeting somewhere here on the last Friday of the month for the one day a week this restaurant provides a lunch menu, was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is low key, relaxed, and cozy. A house made into a restaurant, the first floor seating has tables for two and four. There is more seating upstairs for busy nights or perhaps larger groups.
Our waiter was polite and efficient even with the fact he apparently has to multitask with busing used dishes, sweeping floors, taking orders from customers and serving food.
We ordered one red curry entree with chicken and one Thai fried rice entree with pork. I did ask our waiter how the pork was cooked and he said it was sauteed. Thinking maybe it would be those little pink cubes found in Chinese fried rice, I thought I'd inquire as there are other choices of protein, chicken, beef, shrimp ($2. extra) as well as tofu and vegetables. The pork was plentiful and tender. I did think there was very little egg in my order. Since I couldn't finish it, I told our waiter I'd bring it home and have it for breakfast in the morning by adding a scrambled egg.
The red curry chicken was hotter than the green one my dining partner tried a week earlier, he said. I sampled it. Not too challenging. It has the kind of heat that simmers after you've had a bite and builds until the end of the dish. It comes with a bowl of rice. (choices are sticky, brown or jasmine.) Jasmine was chosen with this lunch. By the end of this meal, there was mostly the curry sauce in his serving dish so he put the rice in and finished the course this way.
There are many appetizers available. Spring rolls, shumai, satay and gyoza; soups, salads, and desserts. Mains include sauteed noodle dishes, house specials, stir fry and duck.
No alcohol is served here. Customers can BYOB. They do have a refrigerator that sells cold drinks and a table full of bottled or packaged Thai sauces and seasonings. Closed Mondays. Tuesday to Thursday hours are 3:00PM to 9:00PM. Friday and Saturday they are open 11-3 and then from 5-9. Sunday 12-7:30. Catering and takeout is...
Read moreDecided to try to something different with my girlfriend and chose this place, what a mistake that was!!! Service wasn't that great , took a while to get our order taken and when we got our food it was deff not what was described in the menu , what a total dissapointment, my girlfriend decided to order the "vietnamese style " pho , they brought this big bowl with noodles and like 3 shrimp , that looked like they had boiled ramen noodles and took the water from that and put in the bowl for her to eat , no taste whatsoever , mind you the mint leaves, and bean sprouts that accompanied this plate looked like they had been out for quite some time and they were just looking to get rid of them , they were all brown in color , at that point we told the waitress our issue with the food and she ended up still making me pay for the dish !!! My plate was the seafood delight , which consisted of 3 shrimps and barely any other seafood which had been stated in the menu , again false advertising, why say something in a menu if your not going to deliver the same product to your customers!!! I walked out of there extremely upset and wanting a full refund , I deff won't be coming back to this place again and heads up to those that do !! Btw if you ask for a manager, he's not available "how convenient" I'm waiting for the owner to come and comment on this review and try to justify the bad service like he has in previous reviews
Ps what kind of owner says " we don't want you coming back here " instead of trying to make a better experience for their customers , you sir are a joke !!! Learn to run a business...
