Where do I begin?
Service: Amazing! Everyone was so polite and genuinely seemed happy to be at work. The host greeted is with a smile and made some small talk. He was so sweet. Our server and other support staff were just as nice and took great care of us.
Food: Fantabulous!!! We started with the scallops. Overall they were good. A bit salty for me, but if you eat a portion of the scallop with the vegetables, it balanced out. The entrees were excellent. I had the pork chop and substituted my side with the Mac n cheese. The pork chop was tender and delicious. Well seasoned. Just melted in my mouth. The Gouda and bacon Mac and cheese--so creamy and flavorful. He had the cod with Mac n cheese. The cod was well second and cooked just right. Our only complaint is that it wasn't well timed with my dish. Whereas my meal was obviously hot off the line, his meal was more room temp. Not cold, but we could definitely tell it was cooked first and had to wait a few minutes until my meal was cooked. But it still tasted good, so we didn't bring attention to it.
Drinks: We each started with a delicious glass of wine. And for dessert, we opted for limoncello. I don't think they typically serve it, but made it for us and it was fantastic.
Atmosphere: I read other reviews that weren't too keen on the noise level. Was it loud? Yes. But it was the happy, joyful loud of people truly enjoying themselves. People laughing and having conversations made the room feel homey. It reminded me of having family dinner at my grandmother's. There was one hilarious incident when one customer was really--"happy" and she ran into someone she knew. I've dubbed her the, "OH! MY! GOD!" lady. My husband and I were cracking up. ---The decor was great... The butterflies above the table made my night.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Willow to my friends. We had a...

Definitely high energy. Yet, my wife and I had no problems having a conversation. Environment was warm and friendly. Staff and owner did their best, and we never had an unanticipated need.
Specifically went to have a fish entrée. Not disappointed. We ordered off of the feature menu and saved the salmon for another visit --I have heard nothing but good reviews of the salmon.
My wife's Lake Erie walleye was excellent. She particularly liked the sweet potato puree side dish. We were also given warm bread with seasoned butter.
I had Lake Erie perch. Immediately after ordering I had remorse thinking I had just ordered another fish dinner. However, I discovered I had not. The breading was excellent and seasoned well, The perch was flaky and ample. I had clam chowder which was just good but not exceptional.
Having fish, wanted white wine specifically a sauvignon blanc. I was disappointed finding only Kim Crawford listed. I feel this wine is overrated. Kim left the company five years ago and it has suffered. Jules Taylor would be a better choice. The white wine selection jus seemed to be an after thought.
Instead we had Willow's signature cocktails. We were not disappointed. My Manhattan was among the best I've had. My wife had a Mule, which was extraordinary.
The dining experience was excellent.
One negative: both when we entered and left, there was a gaggle of smokers in a small area just off the walk by the door. The smell and smoke was, for the lack of a better word, gross. I would not sit outside at Willow because of...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place. It had came highly recommended to us. The steak is amazing, the sides ehhhh. The problem wasnt the food, it was the restaurant itself. We went last friday evening, it was hot, really hot outside. It was hot, really hot inside. In hindsight my hubby and I shouldve left and went back another day but we were eager to have a good meal. So there was a box fan on the floor blowing on another table. When they left we turned it towards us. We had it less than 5 minutes. The male host turned it towards a new table he just sat and said he had to be fair!? So we spoke to our waitress. Apparently she confronted him because we heard him yelling at her " fine, move the fan" and he went storming off. We felt like we were on candid camera getting punked! It was unreal. Our waitress was gracious but we wont be back. $100 for a meal and ur dying sitting there. I also was told the air wasnt broken but not big enough for the restaurant. So when its hot like that, it cant keep up. So u have sweating waitresses, i cant even imagine the kitchen. If ur charging premium prices, u need to provide a safe workplace and atmosphere for ur guests. Sad to say we wont be back. Fighting over a box fan at a $100 meal is not...
