Cape Creamery Premium Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Cape Coral

I came to buy ice cream with my son, and received a cracked cone. I asked for another one, but was offered a cup. I really like ice cream with a cone so I just said “okay, I’ll just eat the part that’s broken”; before I could even continue, the ice cream cone split in half.

Soon after i went back in line and it was my turn up to be serviced. I informed the young girl with blonde hair, who was very unpleasant and delivered unwelcoming customer service, that “the ice cream cone fell apart as soon as I started to lick it.” She blatantly looked at me and said “okay, so what do you want me to do, you want a cup?”

Meanwhile, the Ice cream cone fell apart and I caught it with my hands, therefore it was a-parted in my hands (very rude question to ask a customer instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and asking to solve the issue with providing a new cone, since the option for a cup wasn’t available). I kindly said “no thank you, I really like ice cream with the cones,” and she abruptly said with an attitude “well what do you want me to do then?” I said “I will like a new cone please.” She then scooped ice cream for another customer (which is understandable) didn’t say anything, finished scooping and then said “well you can just throw it away then,” rather than apologizing and resolving the issue, or taking the cone and throwing it out herself to assist the customer.

Most importantly, it could have been handled in a different manner. I came today with intentions of buying ice cream, and enjoying it with my son. Instead I received a stale ice cream cone, and offensive customer service when informing representative of issue.

Due to the unwelcoming service, and the way I was treated after a moment of silence and still no response from representative that she will assist me after telling me to throw away the ice cream cone; I told her not to worry if its a problem for her, and she just continued ignoring me as she was when she told me to throw away the ice cream cone. I left and will not be coming back due to the extremely rude service received.

I never had a problem with the ice cream or other representatives, it seems to be that same person with blonde hair usually tied up. I thought maybe she must of had a bad day, but this was not the first time I was treated this way by her. Before it didn’t matter because I had an ice cream to enjoy, but since my purpose or idea of having a nice ice cream with my son at the ice cream shop was unexpectedly ruined, it destroyed my hopes of coming back or referring others to this location.

All in all, my review to ice cream shop located on Cape Coral pkwy and Chiquita is to please be kind, and mindful of customers. People remember the way you make them feel, and if you treat someone poorly, then they will not come back and use, or spread word of your services. If treated nicely, I would have attended this shop, and purchase over $10 in ice cream a day faithfully with my son as we do with...

This is by far the best ice cream around this area. We love birthday cake. I know it is pricey but it really doesnt compare to any other ice cream we have had. My son loves it and asks to go all the time. He loves the big beach chair.. the place is always super clean and I know they are very particular on serving without contamination .. ive seen them train people. The older lady who I assume is the mother and maybe owner ? Not sure .. but she is very nice. I do have to admit though.. the younger female (maybe daughter) could be alot nicer. It's not that she is mean per se but I never see her smile and she does seem a bit annoyed by serving people. It's an ice cream shop! ... with bright colors it should be upbeat and a happy place. You should always have a smile on and enjoy making others happy! That's what customer service is all about.
