J&P Asian Fusion - For fathers day, we decided on a place that is right around the corner, but had not been to yet. The name "J&P Asian Fusion" can be a bit deceptive, because you are not sure what cuisine you might be having. We were anxious to see what we were in store for. We did not have reservations and we showed up at about 1800, prime dinner time, on father's day. This place is located in a very busy plaza (located with Lobster Lady, Ceno's, a couple other small places and soon to be Prime 239). Parking was not as challenging as I thought it might be.
We walked in and were seated at a two person booth immediately. The place was more crowded than we thought it was going to be based on the ease of parking. We liked the layout of the place and the fact that there were TVs, that we could watch as the US Open was still playing out.
Pam, our server, was right over to the table. She was very pleasant and took great care of us for our whole visit. We really enjoyed our interaction with her.
We started with some Sake and two beers (sorry, we went with domestic beers). The sake was nice and last for our dinner (we always get sake).
We decided to start with spicy edamame. The portion was nice for the two of us to split. It really was good and we want to figure out what the mixture was to try and replicate. We will always start with the spicy edamame, for sure.
We had a spicy tuna roll for the sushi side of the house. There was nothing fancy about it, but we did like the flavor. We can be Sushi snobs, but we were happy with what we were served. We might have to make a sushi specific run in the future.
We ordered a build your own plate with shrimp and veggies that come with two sides to split. We opted for an egg roll and fried rice. We really thought the dish was savory and was everything we were hoping it would be. The only change we would have made, would have been to get it a little spicier (yes, it is a theme with us). The portion was great for us to split. It was definitively an excellent dish.
We enjoyed our entire visit and are so happy that it is so close. But we do wonder why it has taken us this long to try J&P. This will get into our rotation. We highly...
Read moreDining at J & P Asian Fusion was a delightful experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an exceptional dining experience.
The menu is an impressive blend of various Asian cuisines, offering something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail and the innovative approach to traditional dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
I started with the crab rangoon, which was crispy and delicious, filled with a perfectly seasoned cream cheese mixture. The sushi and sashimi selection is also outstanding—each piece is incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, making for a delightful culinary experience. For my main course, I opted for the Thai green curry, which had just the right amount of spice and a rich, creamy sauce that was absolutely divine. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring I left completely satisfied.
The service was average, but the staff were still polite and accommodating. While there were a few delays, the overall dining experience was pleasant, and the quality of the food more than made up for it. However, one thing we did not like was that the tip was already added to the bill. It would have been better if we had the option to decide the gratuity ourselves based on the service provided.
Overall, J & P Asian Fusion exceeded all my expectations. Whether you're a fan of sushi, sashimi, Thai, or other Asian cuisines, this restaurant delivers excellence on every front. I can't wait to return and explore more of their diverse and...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I would like to point out that I make an effort to post positive reviews. I feel that too many people try and find the negative in lieu of the positive. However, this was not only disappointing, but an embarrassment to the rest of our party. My son was celebrating his birthday with his family including us and his friends with their children. We were a party of 9. The reservation was made at noon time on Thursday the 19th for Saturday, the 21st at 6:30. Imagine our surprise when the rest of our party showed up first, and NO reservation. It was not followed with an apology or an alternative, but with a extremely rude woman at the door who was clearly annoyed. The gentleman who was standing there with his wife and children even asked "Can you accommodate a party of 9 then?" Followed by a rude "No"... Wow, now we have 3 children, we all in the parking lot, and nothing!!!! It's truly unfortunate that this was our first and now only visit to your restaurant. I believe word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and this is definitely not how I would want anyone to refer to my business. I would of called you personally on Saturday night but the phone number for your establishment continuously said "The Verizon customer you are trying to reach is too busy" Regardless, we found a very enjoyable solution and had a wonderful evening with friends and...
