I do not know what happened to the Omlet Shop at 4703 16th Place, Cape Coral. We used to go there on weekends and it used to be OK. Since Covid I’ve ordered Take out and something was always wrong with the order when I got home. Up to the last time it was always annoying, but usually nothing major: hash browns instead of French fries; scrambled eggs instead of over easy; toast instead of bagels, syrup missing for the pancakes or waffle. How can they mess so many things up when all they do is serving breakfast ? They are simply sloppy at best or do not care at all at worst. With all the sides etc the orders always come out at $50-60 incl tip; not cheap for 2 simple breakfasts. But with me it was never about the cost. Last Sunday was inexcusable. While my wive’’s order had the eggs scrambled totally dry (but it had the eggs), my order of eggs over easy, French fries and ham had the eggs totally missing and only had the French fries & ham. What breakfast is it without eggs, the main part of an American breakfast ? It isn’t a breakfast at all !!! Also the syrup for the waffle was missing once again. I called them to report the problem and asked them to figure out how they wanted to make this right and call me once they decided. I did not have time to go back there as we had things to do. I expected a call, should have been from a Manager. I am in the Service business and to make it right I thought the right thing to do was for them to offer a refund for my order. But I never heard back ! This proves that they do not care about their customers, do not appreciate the repeat business. I never wrote a review or complaint before; maybe I should have. This time I felt it was inexcusable, especially as they did not even get back to me; and so I did. Conclusion: such issues always come from the top down. If Management doesn’t care, the staff won’t care either. They deserve a single Star at best and should wear it until they figure out how to properly take care of their customers ! Read moreHave been coming here as a regular for years. Betsie and Heather are always AMAZING!! You’re extremely lucky to have amazing waitresses like them working for you. They are the reason we keep coming back because we love their service and they’re great people. However, we had a terrible experience today with the hostess Chelsea (not sure on spelling- see attached picture). She didn’t greet us, didn’t say one word. She threw the menus down and when we said thank you, there was no response. It was extremely disrespectful and the worst hostess experience I’ve EVER experienced anywhere. My suggestion: You need to get rid of her before she drives all of your customers away. I work in hospitality and it’s a HORRIBLE first impression with someone so miserable at your front door. Thankfully BETSIE AND HEATHER turned the experience into an amazing one, and they are the reason we will keep coming back, also the kitchen does a great job. Today I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I got pancakes with gravy both orders were pancakes and gravy. Why would you do that to a Customer?? I grew up that the Customer is KING when you are serving the public! Management needs to sharpen some skills. I watched three women take one order while customers were waiting to be seated. They had plenty of tables just can't figure out why they lack knowing how to seat the customers. There was a hair fried into my corn beef hash, didn't notice it right away when I did notice it I never went back. So I started making my own and it's so fresh and good way better than 3 day old leftovers!!! I use pastrami and it's so darn good it's unbelievable!
