Disappointed is all I can say to explain my experience here. My husband and I are here visiting from Colorado and were told this place has great seafood. My husband loves seafood, and doesn’t get good fresh seafood at home, so he was really looking forward to it. The only hesitation we had was we have a very picky 3.5 year old with us that only will eat chicken nuggets, and they have to be from Wendy’s. If you have a kid you understand! Well we called ahead and asked if it would be okay to bring the nuggets with us, and of course my husband and I would be ordering food. After waiting on hold the hostess came back and said she checked with a manager and that was fine, they just can’t warm them up for us. We said no problem, and we were excited to come! We went to Wendy’s, came to Lobster Lady and the hostess sat us, and asked if we needed a kids menu. We said “no, he’s got nuggets”. She said “oh, that was you guys”. We all laughed about it and were seated. I got the nuggets out and ketchup and set my son up and he started eating….. then came Dominic. He came to our table, introduced himself as the manager and told us the nuggets weren't allowed and they have nuggets on the menu. I explained we called ahead and he can check with the hostess. ( We are not idiots, we understand why restaurants don’t allow outside food, that’s why we called ahead. ) He literally gave me a look and said “nobody checked with me”. I’m sorry Dominic, I didn’t realize you were the only one that could approve a 3.5 year olds nuggets. It’s apparent why the hostess probably asked a different manager because you sir are a jerk. The way you spoke to me and made it seem like I was a liar was ridiculous. You left the table saying “okay, well just this time you can have the nuggets” but by then the meal was ruined. I looked at my husband and said screw this place…couldn’t trust them to make our meals after that experience, so we got up left and went and spend our money at the steakhouse next door that welcomed our sons nuggets and even brought him extra ketchup to the table. If you are a family, I would strongly reconsider not going here because they are not...
Read moreWe ate a this restaurant last evening, a dinner date with my husband, his tow sisters and spouses, 6 of us. We had reservations, but were seated in the loud bar area, with 3 of us facing a wall. The server Nick was very accommodating, he’s gets 5 stars. We were to have a gift card waiting at the front reception area, when we arrived. It wasn’t ready, no big deal, but the manager didn’t take the blame for the error. He blamed it on my Granddaughter s card being declined. One of our guests ordered the fresh lobster out of the tank, he specifically asked for no oil on the lobster, as he had it there before and thinks it’s too hard to eat that way. He’s from lobster country Our server took time to write this down as we watched. It came out with oil, he was not happy, the manager came out and said sorry (kind of) and said it would take an additional 20 minutes or more for a new lobster. We were all eating at that point so he declined. No offer of a discount or such. We ordered a birthday dessert, as we were celebrating two birthdays. My sister in law, April 2 and my husband's (84th) April 15th, we met in the middle on april 8. The server went to ask the manager, he said we couldn’t get a dessert for the two of them share. We ordered one and paid for it anyway. Our combined bill for the table was approximate $450.00 Seems they don’t take the stance of the customer is always right, and don’t care if the customer leaves happy. Lots of excuses. We won’t be back.
After reading the managements comments to my review. I am not surprised. Not an upscale restaurant and my granddaughter from up north ordered that gift card, one day prior to our visit. Her out of state card was declined as a fraud safety issue. This should have been taken care of prior to our visit. Also, oil/butter whatever you call it, was specifically asked to be omitted , and written down by the sever, as I stated. Our guest should have been told it was not possible, as he would have chosen a different dish. Also, a candle in a brownie was not a large ask. We will go to Merritts for our seafood, from now on.

Read moreMy friends and I came to Lobster Lady for lunch. I had brought my service dog with us and before we walk in, I can see the manager and host pointing and looking at us because of my service dog. When we walked in he asked for paperwork which is not legal in Florida, then wanted to question why I had a service dog. Upon sitting, we had ordered drinks and appetizers. We were ready to order our entree and it took about 20 minutes for our server to come back and finally brought bread 30 minutes after sitting. We then finally got our appetizer, which was the spinach artichoke and hot lobster dip, the toast on the hot lobster dip was stale. So, we tried to get another server attention, and he looked at us twice as we’re calling him, and ignored us and walked away. When we tried to get his attention again, he finally looked over and we brought to his attention how rude it was the way they ignored us and how it seemed racially motivated. After all of this, instead of grabbing a manger he grabbed our server, and she came back rudely saying how she asked us if everything was okay and arguing with us at the table. She then goes and grab the manager and i can see our server explaining what is happening and the manager rolls her eyes. She then comes up and we told her that we just wanted chips instead of the bread and that we know it isn’t the servers fault, but the way she came off very rudely to us was not good service. So then, they gave us another gentlemen as our server, who introduced himself to us, and made a comment saying how there was another asian server who worked there and that we were her kids and that our friend worked there as well. After having that server, they again switched us to another server, who was very nice. Overall this experience was absolutely horrible and has the most unprofessional staff there, chewing gum, pointing, talking bad about the guests in front of us, and making racial comments. I have managed at a 5 star restaurant and currently still work at 5 star restaurant, Capital Grille in fort myers, where service would never...
