Excellent service only forgivable mistakes.
The food on the other hand. The Ala carte steaks and sides didn't meet my expectations for the price point.
Steaks were seasoned lightly with salt if anything and recommended to pair with their house sauces. The two which I tried were a green peppercorn brandy sauce, and a roasted red pepper chimichurri, both seem to be a twist on a more traditional steak pairing that for my taste was a twist in the wrong direction. The peppercorn sauce typically a spicy and smokey cream sauce was too floral and overpowered by the green peppercorns, while the roasted pepper chimichurri I likened to a roasted bell pepper harissa with added herbs than a chimichurri sauce.
The sides had an odd way of adding spice, some covering the taste of the dish, like the Jalapeno cream corn, raspberry habanero butter, and the sauce paired with the crab cakes all had a heat that seems misplaced with the dish given the lack of spice with the steak.
I was originally given the wrong meal, a sad pale TBone with virtually no crust, color or Malliard browning. Hopping to be replaced with the 24 oz cowboy ribeye I originally ordered but they brought the 14 oz instead I wasn't going to make them cook a 3rd medium rare steak as long as the bill came out with the 14 oz price. It was rushed; cooked on a much higher heat one side being far more done than the other again very light on salt and limited to no spices.
If I could give my opinion to the Chef De Cuisine, I would recommend using your talents for spice pairings and make and promote seasoning options and compound butters for the steaks rather than using unorthodox side sauces as crutches to elevate the quality of the meal.

Read moreParking is a big issue... but not the restaurants fault, so I won't ping them for that. The "hostess" with the blonde hair did not greet us.. the brunette had to ask her if she checked us already. This type of resturaunt should be tip top when it comes to the 1st impression and a hostess should be greeting everyone with a welcoming smile. SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL and how a server should be at every other resturaunt around.
The good: We had the Wagyu filet... let me tell you.. it was cooked to perfection and the best steak I have ever put in my mouth.... no lie, Like butta baby... The flavor was incredible! The presentation was great! My son had chicken which he said was amazing. Overall the food was amazing.. but... it wasn't as hot as it should have been and it took longer than I would have liked coming out. The bread was just ok. 1st batch wasn't hot but the 2nd was. (It's these little inconsistencies that matter)
It was my sons bday and they made it special by bringing out a sparkler candle thingy and a free dessert.
The bad: I didn't particularly like the ambience ... I think it could be a bit more warm and artsy... better silverware is also a must. It was a tad bit loud in there...
Also, we couldn't substitute our side...which was disappointing! Prices as high as they are... the customer should get what they ask for... ALWAYS! I believe the owner (maybe) may have been overseeing things... and lending a helping hand.. which I like ... it shows the resturaunt is run by someone with pride. What I didn't like is ... I watched a manager go to the same table of 6 people and kept asking them how things were. Why not go around to other tables? Why was the focus on this table? Didn't seem like anything special. We may eat here again on a special occasion and hoping these reviews help them grow. Overall...
Read moreOur first visit to Prime 239 was on my Birthday and I loved almost every minute of it. For starters from the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted with smiles and a lovely clean and dimly lit entrance. #setthemood Our waiter was full of energy and gave us the menu breakdown and the specials. I had a birthday card waiting on the table from the restaurant and was given a complimentary dessert as a birthday surprise, which I will tell you about in a moment. Our drinks took a few minutes longer than we would have preferred but I was pleased with the flavor of the special peach cobbler drink I had so it made up for the wait. The starter bread was warm and crisp and came served with two different butters, one that. Was a salted bread butter that is served daily, and a special almond joy butter that was on the sweet side. They alternate special butters regularly from what we were told. The steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection and flavored amazingly. The baked potato was light and airy and my glazed carrots came out burnt, and to be honest I was surprised they were even brought to the table that way but that was taken care of as soon as I advised the waiter. My complimentary creme brûlée was brought out after dinner served with a sparkler that burned on the table for about 30 seconds and then went out leaving a beautiful and super scrumptious creme brûlée that was absolutely delightful. The only complaint that I will say we had was the minimal parking spaces as the location is in a strip mall, and the loudness of the restaurant became so much that we were leaning in to talk to one another. I was overall pleased and extremely satisfied with everything else and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back again. Prime 239 is a must try out!...
