What a crazy night! I have never encountered such a horrendous experience that made me contemplate leaving before they even started cooking my order. As someone who has worked in the dining industry, I have immense respect for the hardworking staff, and I try to be the nicest person I can because I know how stressful it can be at times.
Our server, Cutrina, initially seemed pleasant, but her condescending tone and loud voice made it clear she was either frustrated or upset with us. Denny's had this new Baconzilla promotion, and I decided to try it since I had seen it on their app. I even went as far as navigating through the payment screen with the pickup option set to ASAP before deciding to dine in instead. I asked Cutrina about the meal, only to be met with an incredibly rude response: "That's not on the menu." She snatched the menu from the table, as if to prove me wrong. Being the person I am, and not wanting to make things difficult, I quickly changed my order to the grand slam. I asked if I could upgrade the bacon to the new premium option they were offering. Cutrina replied, "If it's not on this menu," while jabbing her finger around the menu, "you cannot order it."
With my order reluctantly placed, my two guests and I overheard Cutrina's similar rude behavior at the only other table in the store. At one point, in that same upset and rude tone, she asked, "Are you ready yet?" This was after she had stopped by a moment before, in a much nicer tone, to inquire if they were ready to order.
As we waited for our food, the staff began mopping right next to our table with bleach, eventually causing both of my guests to leave the store briefly to get some air. They are highly sensitive to bleach specifically. Finally, our food arrived, but Cutrina only brought two meals. She had to ask my remaining guest what he had ordered. After about 5 minutes we had to flag her down, as we could see his food was sitting in the window for a couple minutes already and she hadn't noticed it. At this point, we asked for to go boxes as both of guests couldn't stay in the restaurant anymore as all the could smell was chemicals. I've had some one off scenarios at this Denny's before, and always give them the benefit of the doubt... but this...

Normally we go there and have a great experience. But today was a completely different story. It wasn't even busy yet at 7:50 I'm the morning.
It was 10 mins before the manager (not the server) came up to ask for our drink order. I then started timing everything the rest of the meal. Then said he was brewing a fresh pot of coffee for us. We then got the coffee and it wasn't even hot, it was warm. I've never heard of a warm fresh coffee before. It's usually hot. So I call B.S. on that one. F'n Lier.
Then it was almost another 10 mins before the manager (not the server) came up to take our food order (which she got wrong even after writing it down).
Then the food took a very long time to come out. My wife's was supposed to come with sausage and pancakes. We were half way through our meal when the server asked if we needed anything. We then asked for my wife's sausage and pancakes, which took almost 15 mins to come out. When we asked her about the pancakes and sausage she had no idea what we were talking about.
While we were waiting for those the server filled my wife's coffee and over filled the cup.
I then tried to put salt on my food and no salt was coming out of the salt shaker. So I took a salt from another table. I looked on top and it was covered in grease and had a bug on top. I then looked at 4 tables salts and all of them were gross and nasty. IT WAS 8:30 IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE MORNING RUSH!!!
I get having an off day but the fact that the MANAGER LIED about the coffee will be the reason me and my family (which is usually bi-weekly) will NEVER eat there again. Definitely would have given the place another chance but apparently the manager is dishonest, and a BS'er. HOW DO YOU LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMER ABOUT BREWING A FRESH POT OF COFFEE FOR HIM THEN GIVE HIM A CUP FROM AN OLD POT. I'm 37 years old, do you think I don't know the difference between a fresh cup of coffee and an old cup of coffeee? That's messed up.

Read moreI am a food delivery driver I drive for all of the food apps. I came to Denny's tonight I had two orders. I know that they were pretty busy it's Saint Patty's Day there's only two waitresses. So I go use the restroom while I'm waiting for my orders and then I had a tv show playing on my phone, while waiting for the orders and after 20 minutes or so, I stopped the waitress Because the app gives you an option to cancel, after waiting and excess amount of time. And If I'm sitting there all night I'm not making any money. And I'm there to make money and just like the waitress is there to make money also.... But anyways I was being super polite because I know that she was really busy. I asked her if she could tell me if it was going to be another 20 minutes or how many orders I had in front of me, and I apologize for asking because I know that she was busy. And she straight up looks at me and shakes her head says... Nope. Dunno. I said there's no way for you to ask and see how many are in front of me, once again shakes her head and shrugs your shoulders and says nope. This is the waitress that has the lisp.... Like I get y'all are really busy and there's only so much you can do, but if a driver asks how long it's going to be and it's already been 20 minutes and you can't give them a definite answer there is a problem, I'm not doing this for a hobby. I'm doing this as a second job, and I will continue to leave reviews for restaurants who don't take their delivery apps seriously until I'm blue in the face.... If you are too busy in the restaurant to handle the delivery apps then don't have them at your business. I'm really just disgusted right now. Time is money and my time ain't free. And the people who order from you on the apps, they are your customers just as much as the people sitting in the restaurant.......
