This is the worst McDonalds in the entire country, NO LIE! I have been going here for 16 years & it seems like everything has changed in the last 5 years. I don't know if it's GenZ entering the workforce, or what, but this place is a literal disaster. After months of bad service (I was only going every other Friday because I have kept my grandson every other weekend since he was 2, for the last 6 years, and I would get him a happy meal) I started to keep track of the service because I couldn't believe that not one order was right since... since I could remember! For one year, going 2 Fridays a month, I would get home & my order would be wrong or inedible. I stopped tracking after 13 months. And YES...I SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING. I'm just usually someone who hates to complain. I started going to a different location for a few months & it was fine. But I went back once because this location is 3 minutes from my house. Again, I get home & the order is wrong. I'm now FURIOUS because it had been months at the other location without an incident. I called & the young man who answered said he was the manager. I began to explain & he literally asked me "So why dont you just cook your own food?". I think something broke in my brain, LOL. I said "WHAT???? I work 70 hours a week & cook 6 days a week and only get McDonalds when I have my grandchild, so what? I'm not allowed to go through a drive-through twice a month? I'm not allowed a break? Or do you think women belong in a fn kitchen every hour of the day, cooking & cleaning, and working & doing laundry, and grocery shopping, paying bills, running errands, maintaining the vehicles.... did I forget something? How dare you talk to a customer that way, who is only calling you to tell you that YOU have messed up their food that they have paid for for over a year!" Of course, that's the clean & short version. I called McDonalds headquarters & left a voicemail, and wrote a lengthy email explaining every detail. A manager did call back & leave a voicemail twice, but I just didn't care at that point. I decided I would never go there again. About 6 months went by & my husband was craving a McDs cheeseburger - which never happens, so I went through the drive-through. I got home & the order was wrong. I called immediately & I actually got the manager who had called me 6 months prior. She remembered me because of my scathing email & voicemail. She promised that everyone was being retrained, they had problems finding quality employees but it's better now & she has left a free meal coupon for me for whatever meal I want & I could come get it whenever. I said thank you but I didn't need a free meal. As long as people were being trained properly, that sounded refreshing. I have abstained from there for the last 4 or 5 months now, until this past Friday. My grandson was just hungry for a hamburger, so I decided....ok, last chance. We went, I ordered a hamburger happy meal FOR A BOY, with no pickles. We get home, the toy is for a girl & there are pickles on his burger. Everyone with a child knows when they see something they don't like on their food, that's it. But my husband ate the pickles & my grandson ate the burger. I threw the girls toy away. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM ANOTHER PENNY AS LONG AS I LIVE. And you know it's serious to actually take the time to write a review this lengthy. I will go out of my way & go to the McDs that is 10 minutes away if anyone in my house wants that crap. Every word of this is truth, and it's even worse than what's written, but I would be writing this review until tomorrow if I wrote every detail. Bottom line - AVOID THE McDs AT THE CORNER OF CAPE PKWY & CHIQUITA AT ALL COSTS!! The employees either don't care at all, or none of them have an IQ above that of a fork. It seems like everything is that way nowadays. Young people don't know the meaning of customer service. They just don't care. Anyway...eat here at your own risk. I have a strange feeling that if you risk it, you will end up...
Read moreThis was our go to quick stop. After Friday night they have lost that ranking. The staff was not working as a team and the managing staff wasn't keeping the wheels turning inside or out. There was a pretty good line at both drive thru stations and no one inside. So, we decided to park and go inside. My first hang up was once I quickly placed my order on the que machine it would not let me pay by card. Ok, pay at counter. No biggie. Wrong. After standing for approximately 10 minutes and others customers as well, we asked one of the staff if she could help us all pay. Did so under duress and made it obvious to all of us. I'm not sure which was the manager and which was shift lead, but the male kept his back to the front of the store (white shirt) and the female kept her ear to the phone (long black hair). He was trying to run food and she was evidently calling staff to get extra hands on deck. There was at least 5 on staff at that moment. If they were working as a team they could have cleared the drive thru and the lobby, but all of them were focused on themselves. Drive thru girl saying she was quiting after this. Gal with long black hair doing nothing but chatting on the phone and then went to the parking lot for a few minutes. It was a mess. Door dash guy waited for over 15 minutes before i got there for an order that should have been ready when he got there and no one spoke to him. Total blow out. Time for some retraining. A successful store is a store that works as a team. And for crying outloud, push the button and shake the fries. Don't just walk by because it is not your job. And to finish we get our food to the car and it is cold. Cold burger and cold...
Read moreI came in this evening for drive thru. I ordered cheeseburgers, fries and a coke. When I got up to the window I was handed my coke and asked to pull up. I realize this happens on occasion so I thought it was no big deal.
I then watched 3 cars pick up their orders and drive off. The next car was also asked to pull up. Two more cars picked up their orders and Drive off. The next car was then asked to pull up as well. A few more picked up their orders and left. Then s fourth car was asked to pull up.
A few more cars picked up their food and drove off. Then finally someone came out and I thought, great here comes my food. To my dismay, the young man brought the order to the second car that was asked to wait. In between them a few more cars came through and got their food and left.
They also delivered the food to the third and fourth cars that were asked to pull up. I asked why everyone was getting their food when I was the first car that was asked to pull up. I was told that" we are short staffed". So why was it that my order was the one that suffered for you being short staffed? Was it because I asked for one off the large fries to have no salt? Which they were still salted.
I waited over half an hour sitting in my car in a fast food establishment. The least, and I mean the least management could have done in this situation was to bring my order out and apologize for the wait or come out and communicate the delay while I was waiting. Very poor customer service. The general manager needs to reevaluate the staff at...
