Metro Diner — Restaurant in Cape Coral

I love coming here for breakfast every Monday. I get breakfast to go and I get a two egg breakfast with bacon, shredded potatoes, and coffee. Very good

When the old GM Ursula left and the new one came on, phil threw away $30-40 in business equipment i had there (business card displays and cards) without contacting my business to pick it up. Just chucks it in the garbage, my number was all over everything. The way he has been running things is night and day difference between the quality on how Ursula ran things.

to add insult to injury i ordered breakfast every week for a few months when my networking meeting was over in that area. Ordered breakfast and coffee to go always tipped the waitresses. Every single time.

The last visit i had which was my last for a reason,i had an order for a customer here. i called on the way driving there, and got put on hold for 10-20 minutes while driving there. Arrived there nobody picked up still on hold, went inside. Hung up because i was there. Was there an additional 15 minutes in the middle of their entrance while 8 waitresses and hostesses passed me by and one of them asked 'have you been helped?' said no and they said one second until finally i asked out loud 'what do I have to do to get service?' Got my order in finally and it was a 45-60 minute ordeal when it should have been 15-20 minutes for a simple egg breakfast.

Get this- this was an order i was trying to put in for a customer that wanted their food through my business. At no cost to them. Thats what I do.

it was first time we went and it was last time !!! We were there by 9 a.m we walked to hostess stand I said good morning to her and she didn’t even answer back she look at us and we said can we seat at the bar she just showed with finger like go ahead we sit and she give us menu right away and walk away without saying anything (Not even good morning welcome or anything)! We waited till 09:06 no body great us or ask for drink I looked the chefs with blue T-shirt he right away come to me and I ask him is he gonna take our order or we do have a someone has to take care of our order because we were there like 6-7 min and nobody cared . He apologized and right away come out of kitchen and serve our coffee and water(thanks Cheff )then our server came and took our order and we get our food by 09:22 my coffee was almost finish and she came and filled my coffee and right away she said I will bring your check (like get out of here ) right after she serve our food !!! (I never felt unwelcome before I was almost gonna leave but my wife make calm down ) MOST BLOODY AWFUL service my wife ask for Turkey sausages and she gave pork she just eat egg and cover rest off it with napkin my wife didn’t even touch potato and sausage!!! We drove from Davie, Florida to visit our daughter who attends college nearby and we wanted breakfast as it was early Sunday morning. We chose Metro Diner solely based on a google search. What an awesome and complete surprise! Service was excellent and our server was even better, made us feel like regulars. 3 adults and 1 child in our party. Now on to the food. I ordered Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. OMG delicious. Hot flaky biscuits, creamy, smooth gravy with plenty of sausage chunks. Absolutely delectable! My wife had the Fried Chicken Benedict. I had a few bites of hers and the chicken was crunchy, moist and perfectly seasoned. This food was obviously scratch made and executed perfectly. In a world of batch made food, this food was an Honest to goodness culinary delight. Our oldest daughter had a vegetable omelette which she gave 5 stars. Our youngest had a kids waffle with strawberries, bacon and scrambled eggs. The waffle was warm, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just like a waffle should be. We sat outside and had a fantastic brunch. Great portion sizes, perfectly prepared and excellent service. Bathrooms were clean, well lit and nicely equipped with Antibacterial soap and paper towels.

We’re so happy to have found our new brunch spot when we visit our daughter and will be doing so monthly. I can’t wait to come back. If you are anywhere in the area, check this place out! 5 stars but the food and service deserve another star. 5 isn’t good enough for these folks. Thanks ya’ll and see you next...
