The Hungry Captain Cape Coral 9-19-25 We just got back from Maine and had to stop by for some Lobster Rolls. When we walked in this place was very clean and neat as a pin. They had 2 kiosk or a large counter you can order from. Menu was laid out well and Mairelis who was working behind the counter could not have been any more friendly and helpful to us as it was our first time there. We both ordered the New England Maine Lobster Roll Combo. This Cold Lobster Roll came with Lobster on a Toasted Bun, Mayo, Chips, Pickle Spear and Slice of Lemon. I also ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder Soup. Our order was delivered to our table in reasonable time, it looked so appetizing. The Bun was overflowing of Lobster, and it was toasted to a golden brown just the way I like it. The Clam Chowder was amazing I just loved this Chowder and I believe it was the best I had in the Cape so far. Mairelis came back to check on us and even ask us if we wanted any Desert as they had Cheesecake and Tres Leches. I believe this place is a hidden gem and everyone needs to try it. As far as prices we just got back from Maine and the average price for Lobster Rolls up there were 28 dollars and ours were 24 here which is not out of line. You must put this place on your stop by list you wonât be sorry I know we were not. I must give this place 5out of 5 stars. I for one canât wait to go back. âââââ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews &...
Read more9/19/25 - Gave this ânewâ place a shotâŠthe Hungry Captain - lobster rolls in Cape Coral - - and it was great! PLEASE do not confuse this with the former place of the same name and location - be wary of any reviews before 9/17/25. This casual eat-in or take-out small restaurant is newly owned and operated by Mairelis and her husband. It opened only 2 days ago on 9/17 and a more celebratory grand opening will come soon. The huge difference is this restaurant is clean, cozy (only 4 casual tables), newly renovated and most importantly provides fresh, not frozen, seafood. Maine lobsters flown in daily; chowders and bisques made in house daily - fresh, never from bags of frozen soups; shrimp and Florida lobster rolls and salads made fresh daily. Coming from the Boston area and New Hampshire we can vouch for the authenticity and very good taste. We had clam chowder and Maine lobster rolls rolls and they were excellent.
Mairelis is a charm - helpful, knowledgeable and most hardworking to make this a real success and provide good value way above that of itâs prior namesake.
We urge you to give it a tryâŠweâre just 2 local customers that did just that, Paul & Dotty - we were...
Read moreAnytime I am on the coast, I love getting a lobster roll. I'm very glad I found this place. We started with a bowl of clamp chowder. My wife really liked it. I am not a fan of clamp chowder, so I can't review it. I then ordered the classic roll, Buffalo roll, and sweet chili roll. Every one of them had a great taste and was very delicious. Out of the three that we ordered, the sweet chili was the best!!! I really liked the flavor twist on this one and would recommend this to all. The second best out of the order was the classic, and then the number 3 out of 3 is. The buffalo was a very light flavor. I wish it had a stronger flavor, but it still was very delicious. Overall, would I come here again. Absolutely! Great food and nice environment. My recommendation is to try the sweet chili if you want...
