I will day that I came in at 9:45 pm on a Sunday but they are open till 11:00pm. I wanted to pickup some Valentine's Ice Cream cakes. They had 3 really small heart shaped cakes but no one new what was in them or how much they were. An employee tried to charge me almost $30 for the really small heart so I changed to an Ultimate Chocolate cake that was at least 3 times bigger that was only $25 dollars. They did not find a manager to ask about the heart cake till after long after I had checked out. Turns out that I would not have purchased the heart based on what was in the cake but it truly bothers me that only 1 person in the store new what the heart cake was and the real price. Along with the ice cream cake I purchased a box of ice cream sandwiches and a fish sandwich. It took almost 10minuets to get the fish sandwich and it looked nothing like the picture. While the fish sandwich has the possibility of being great it was very disappointing to find the fish filet looked like it had been refried instead of a fresh filet being used. The lettuce on the sandwich was tiny pieces, very limp, slimy and looked like they should have been thrown out 2 days ago. The sandwich pictured in a large ad poster on their wall looked nothing like what I received. And it took Dairy Queen over 10 minuets to get me the fish sandwich. There were two many employees standing around doing nothing, waiting for 10:00 pm to roll around so they could leave instead of doing the job they were hired to do. I worked in fast food as one of my first jobs in high school; I get it. You work hard in an unglamorous job that at my time in the early 80's paid a minimum wage that was $3.14 an hour. But supposedly you are there to learn the skills that you need to be successful for the rest of your life: how to follow directions, punctuality, that you have to work for the things you want out of life, politeness to customers, respect for co-workers, respect for your boss and respect for your customers. And hopefully respect for yourself: learning that if you do your best at all times you will be rewarded. And that getting a paycheck you earned for yourself is better than having some one else you some cash for...
Read moreI usually take my 2 boys out for blizzards a few times a month but the last 3 times things haven’t been the same as they have been in the past. I don’t know if it’s new management but it’s something that has to have happened. Always had a great experience so when the first bad one happened I let it go. Being in retail for 40 years I get it but now this is the 3rd time in a row that I’ve seen a big difference from the lack of professionalism to the feeling of the help just being bothered by them even to help service a fairly simple drive thru blizzard orders without it even being busy. I don’t know if it’s a change of management or ownership if they are franchises but with several different chains within a few mile radius with the same quality product just under a different name I was hoping it was just a bad night but like in baseball the batter only gets 3 strikes. I hate complaining and would rather be be the person that praises good work when recognized ( like I said being in the food retail for my entire work career) complaints are the normal and quite common and for that reason I would rather acknowledge good workers knowing the lack of the respect they deserve. This complaint is not just for the sake of being a bad guy but knowing just how competitive business is getting hopefully it’s taken as a positive way to help to see if there is a problem with the store operations that actions can be made before reactions have to be made and I myself would rather not have it be the later in my business. Thanks for listening in advance and I m willing to give the location another chance in the future to see if any changes were done . It’s the store on Pine Island rd Cape Coral Florida just near the corner of delprado blvd about 3 miles east...
Read more5/10/25 update No better still got order wrong. An extra mystery blizzard and wait so long for food after told to pull up that Sunday melted. The young man taking orders drive-thru was more concerned about how much time he had left on his shift and talking to others than making sure the order was right.
Original post Wow, so disappointing in this location's ability to serve. DQ was not the first option of the night but had a variety to choose from, so we did. Pulled in Drive through was lined up to the doors went in to an empty counter. 1 person in the kitchen ran back and forth to drop, cook bag everything. What I think was a manager at the drive-thru and two guys at the ice cream station. After 10 minutes of onward eye contact back and forth from everyone, he came to the counter. I let him know we ordered online. With the receipt pulled up, he was persistent that no order was made. Fines the order sitting under a lamp, grabs the bag, and completes the prep with no apologies or concern about the situation. I got home to find out if the fries were missing, and tried calling no luck. Drove back to explain the oops. ( respectfully ). I get no apology again and argue with me again on the number of fries ordered ( he was correct, by the way ). I thought 3 but was only 2. Instead of dropping some fresh fries, I get some old lamp fries with grunts and sighs with low volume mumble that couldn't make out. Done with...
