Last night was my first visit to soundgarden kava bar because I had several friends recommend the place. Even though the drinks and atmosphere were amazing(the place is beautiful ), I would hesitate to ever go back solely based on the incredibly poor service I received from Scott the kava tender. Initially Brian was serving my drinks and he was very friendly and helpful. But when he left Scott started to serve me and cash me out. I went to go pay with my Google wallet and he said super rudely "We don't do that here ", make it as hard as possible for me to pay with my Google wallet , and proceeded to give me horrible amounts of attitude. I left to go get my actual wallet in my car to pay and when I came back I was talking to my friend who was getting his cash to tip at the counter and Scott heard me say I didn't like the service to my friend and started to argue with me on the counter/confront me about what I said in front of other customers. He was basically accusing me of lying about what transpired and I ended up paying and leaving super upset as another customer got involved and was arguing with me on his behalf. Never did Scott try to de escalate the situation or to give better service, if anything he bucked down and was even more rude. Very disappointing and insanely unprofessional. Would not recommend this bar solely based on this experience. I've been to so many kava bars in this area and only Kapua Kava and Soundgarden have given me this terrible of service. Quality of service was really bad. It's very likely other kava tenders that work here are more professional, so it's unfortunate I happened to get this specific...
Read moreSo I'm new to the area and still 1.5 hrs to fort meyers where the nearest kava bar is. So once a week ice driven to 3 or 4 kava bars most seem to be owned by " Kava Culture". They were all nice especially the north fort meyers location but then I found Sound Garden. No offense to the other spots but this place for me is hands down the winner. The atmosphere is great...it's a larger place compared to the dozens of others in fort meyers area and the ok tables are well keep 9' tables with 8ball tourney on wed nights. If you visit ask for Scott the kavatender who's service and overall friendliness...
Read moreThis is my first ever visit to a Kava bar. Scott our Kavatender lol ( bartender) was absolutely fantastic! He explained all about kava and suggested we start out with an Upside Down Tea- tini. It was a yummy fruity drink served in a martini glass. We both had one and practically slammed it. Yum!! Next I tried the Rocket Man! Taste like a white Russian. It came with a cinnamon stick smoking and the smell was unreal. He made us a sample of the Purple Rain. Again delicous! The atmosphere is fresh and classy. They also have free pool. Bonus! I will be back and you need to definitely try...
