This is really hard. I was in during their first week of being open—repeat customer after that. Then life shifted course, so it had been a while since I was in and tonight I was shocked and then disappointed. The appearance was something one might find in an old gas station, 50 miles from no where, with no expectation of repeat customers. Dirty surfaces abounding. The soda fountain tray had mold growing actively and rusty sticky silt on the counter underneath. Boxes of goods, containers of spice and condiments were scattered here and there. The menu had been “revised” and it’s hard to follow what is current. We ordered a Krabby Bucket that was to contain several clusters of crab legs, potatos, corn, sausage and two Texas Toast slices. The photo demonstrates one, smashed small potato. One half piece of corn, a small piece of sausage and NO pieces of Texas Toast. The crab legs were unremarkable. As food prices increase, I took the time to write this honest review. I hope and pray that the members of the Cape Community will reap the benefits of some minor improvements that can make a huge difference.

Very Good! The restaurant seemed very clean. (Of course it was new) Hopefully it remains clean. The crab was very good. I was shocked by how good the catfish was there, I didn't expect it to be that good. We ordered the Sailors Sampler, and the cook messed up our order, and gave us more crab, and fish, and shrimp, than what we ordered. (Not complaining, because it worked in our favor.) The potatoes were amazing. The Shrimp was tough and overcooked, but because the rest of the food was amazing we didnt mind. The corn on the cob was a little bland, even though it was seasoned with old bay seasoning. I don't think that it was there fault, I think it was the actual corn they got from the supplier. Overall it was amazing, and I look forward to going back! Second time I went was this evening on 3-21-22, and they went down hill a little. Not enough to lower stars, but we didn't get tools to open the crab with, and they didn't have any. We had the tool to crack open the crab, but not to open the legs to get the meat out. There were no lids to fit the cups. We will try again some other time.

After reading the good reviews we wondered if we caught them on a bad day, but this was a very bad experience. Lack of cleanliness. Waited over an hour for the food. Crab was the best thing we got but it was cold. Butter was cold. Meals were brought out with no corn or potatoes. We had to ask and said they ran out. The crab cake was burnt and lacked flavor. Fries and catfish were subpar. The “Mac Daddy” was supposed to have pulled chicken and cajun sauce, came out plain and with 2 chicken tenders on top. Toast was being served with bare hands. There only one person doing all the cooking and serving. She was friendly, but sadly it was too busy to keep up.

We went to this place for my birthday. Now this is our second time visiting Krabby Daddy’s in Cape Girardeau because the one store closed that was closer to we’re we live. Our first visit was spot on the food is great by no means. The bathrooms need to be kept cleaner. On the first visit the bathroom was a mess with water all over the counter due to faucet leaking when you turn it on and no soap to wash your hands. This second visit for my birthday was a bit unsatisfying. The bathroom was still a mess and not being attended to. We ordered the family meal which they separated and brought out 3 plates while the forth sat on a shelf which I assume was the warmer for it to be delivered. We asked about the ordered and told them what we only received which was only 3 pieces of toast 3 corn on the cob 3 eggs, 3 pcs of sausage, and no shrimp. The young lady didn’t seem to be to enthusiastic about getting the rest of our order. If it hadn’t been for the older guy working we would have never of gotten the rest of our food. He was very nice and was walking around to make sure everyone was being taken care of. I told him about the order that had been sitting on the warming station and that it had already been sitting there for a good 35 mins. He went and looked and sure enough it was the rest of our order that was never delivered. He then came back to apologize. He was trying to make everyone happy cause they were running out of crab legs and was having a hard time placing orders. My husband gave the guy the tip and told him thank you for taking care of the us. They definitely need a manager in there to make sure things are being taken care of and not young kids who seemed to not care about their job and serving...

All super friendly but my takeout order wasn't complete. The menu said the catfish and shrimp plate comes with fries, crab ragoon, toast, and pretty sure it said hush puppies. From the get go the lady told me there weren't anymore crab ragoons and I asked for extra toast instead and she said she can do that. She also recommended sauces for my kid since it was our first experience there. The cooks went out of their way to apologize a couple times for the wait and I told them I understand. When I got my order and was about to leave I felt like my bag was too light, I asked if they put my extra order of catfish in and they went and got me my forgotten side of catfish. Then when I was about to go out the door again, I felt like the bag was still kinda light for what I paid for, I asked if sauces are in the bag already and they went to grab some and gave it to me. When I got home, I realized there was no toast and no hushpuppies. I already knew I wasn't getting crab ragoons. I paid full price for 2 dinners and a side of catfish and didnt get what the menu said I should. There weren't many fries either. I didn't mind that since I don't really eat fries and there was enough for my kid. The catfish fell apart into many pieces except for the side order of catfish that I could dip into the sauce. My kid said the shrimp was pretty good and my mom seemed to like it too. The employees were all super nice, but new, confused, or overwhelmed??? The restaurant atmosphere doesn't feel complete, it's ok, but maybe plain and simple is the look they're going for. I might try the place out one more time bc of lent, hopefully the other night was not typical. I'll try a different location to see what...

We stopped in today after finding the restaurant on Google. The restaurant was very dirty, empty tables hadn’t been bussed, salt and pepper shakers were greasy, floors and tables were dirty and sticky. The lid to the ice tea was missing and a layer of scum was visible on top. The self serve soda machine’s ice was dripping water and the Mt. Dew flavor was off.

This was just the beginning……. After an hour of not being served our order, some items started coming out. Everyone had items missing from their orders (corn, Texas toast, crab Rangoon) were all missing. When we inquired we were told they were out, we were only told they were out the items after we asked about them. French fries were powdery, crab was cold, the butter for the crab was thick like Crisco, the ketchup bottle on the table had the worst nail polish remover like taste that I honestly thought I would have to go to the hospital from taste, the single crab cake was burnt to a crisp on the outside but somehow raw in the center and had a distinct Stovetop Stuffing flavor. Shrimp for the shrimp cocktail were warm and the cocktail sauce was disgusting with a twang that hours later still leaves an unpleasant taste in our mouths. The Cajun Chicken turned out to be a chicken tender? Mac and cheese was nothing more than craft Mac and cheese. Update four hours later 3 out of six of us have had bathroom issues and all of us are nauseated still. There was only one employee that had to run the whole operation, completely setting her up for the failure our experience was. She apologized several times and even gave us a gift card that we will never be back to use.

My opinion would be very cautious about trying...
