Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

Ok, so I used to go here almost everyday. Not for the doughnuts, they are typically dry and terrible. But for the lattes. They are well priced, and pretty good about 60% of the time. The other 40% they are terrible, but I still went there because it was convenient. Eventually I got tired of waiting 10 minutes everyday for a single latte so I started calling in my order. That seemed to work out much better. Until this past Friday I called in and talked to a guy named eric which is apparently the owner! Makes this that much worse. I say, I'd like to place an order for pickup in the drive thru (like I have 5 days a week for the past 2 months) and he responds "uh, we really dont do that." I'm thinking, what, take call in orders? Anyway, I respond, yes you do, I have been doing it nearly everyday for a couple months now. He says fine, what do you want? I respond with a large caramel latte, extra shot of espresso. And the guy hangs up. So not only does it take forever and a day to get a single latte, but now they're employing rude people with 0 customer service skills. Worst customer service I've ever has. Went to the window & she asked me to hold for a minute, there was only 1 other customer in the building no one else in drive thru, after waiting 10 minutes she gets on & ask me to pull up to the window. I pull up & I told her I wanted a full box of glazed & a full box of a mix, she said so you want a full box of glazed then a half of box of glazed & chocolate? I said no I want a full box of glazed & full box of mixed, I didn't need any glazed in the mix because I already have a full box. She says hold & & once again I wait about 10 minutes at the window, she comes back & says the manager will wait on you & shuts the window. I wait 5 minutes & no one comes so I pull to the front of the store & go in. The manager is off to the side talking to I'm assuming a friend, she finally cones over & I ask her why the other girl didn't want to wait on me? She said well she's working the counter, I said well she started to wait on me but then got attitude & said I couldn't understand what you wanted. I explained to the manager what I wanted but we ended up not getting the mix because they acted like it was a problem but never...

I just thought to myself the other day how strange it is that I never see any of the neon light on at this location, it perpetually looks closed. But yesterday I went to this location for the first time in probably 2 years because my son wanted to get donuts at a weird time. I checked the website for what kind they had so I could be somewhat prepared in the drive thru line. The first 4 donuts I tried to order they were either out of or don't carry at this location. When I got home my kids ate a cake batter donut and my older son remarked that it only had one bite with filling, which is a problem I remember from the last time I had a donut here. I ate an apple fritter. It was so tough (old? Stale?) I didn't even finish it. I remember going out of town as a kid and getting krispy Kreme as a special treat. This is not how I remember it at all.
