This is a beautiful and surprisingly fun restaurant. Prices were more reasonable than I expected. Our group of four was seated promptly. Service was quite good. Indoor and outdoor (balcony) seating is available. Nice view from the balcony. As for the food, not everything was to my taste, but I appreciated the care and thoughtfulness that went into the menu and preparation. From the "social plates" menu we ordered the Korean Pork Skewers, Garlic Bread, and Blackened Shrimp. The shrimp were excellent. The garlic bread was just garlic bread, and I thought a bit overpriced at $8. This is something another restaurant would have provided for free with your meal. The Korean pork skewers were a disappointment. My Korean wife agreed with me that there was nothing Korean about them. The glaze tasted like teriyaki sauce from a bottle. I think the chef that came up with this doesn't know what real Korean food tastes like. This dish is really more like Japanese yakitori. For full plates we ordered the garlic smashburger, which was excellent. 100% would order again. The chicken spiedini was good, and beautifully presented, but seemed a bit cold as if it had sat in the kitchen waiting for pickup. My wife and I didn't care for the carbonara risotto. It seemed starchy, thick and overcooked, and I'm not sure ham is the right choice for a carbonara. Overall it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the other great looking dishes on the menu.

My husband and I went to Top of the Marq to celebrate our anniversary and had a lovely experience. The service was excellent. Our server asked if we had been there before and explained the tapas style menu. I'm not really drinker, but wanted something fancy since we were celebrating. I asked our server for mocktail suggestions and I ended up having a couple of virgin Lavender Collins, which was simply heaven in a glass and looked as good as it tasted! The menu had gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options so there's something for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions. The food was fantastic and came out surprisingly quick. My favorites were the Buffalo cauliflower and the peach chicken, but the housemade snickers bar for dessert... I have no words. You just have to try it for yourself and thank me later. After dinner we finished our drinks on their rooftop patio and enjoyed watching the sunset over Cape. 5 Stars, chef's kiss, very highly recommend! We will be back.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD IN CAPE GIRARDEAU. Go to 36 instead of this place. Went here for my mother-in-laws birthday dinner. Ordered three appetizers. Forewarning you only get two scallops on the plate. The scallops were under cooked. Congrats to the chef for being able to under cook two scallops! The Brazilian beef skewers were very hard to eat. I’m assuming it was basil pesto on the meat that was burnt.

The mojito I ordered was the worst mojito I have ever had. I sent it back to the bar. The second mojito was the second worst mojito I’ve ever had.

In all of my 37 years I have never seen a restaurant bring plates out to a table as ā€œthey were readyā€ not bringing them all out at once.

My wife ordered the NY strip med rare. It came out rare and the server never came over to ask if our food was ok. When the waitress finally showed up we questioned why my wife’s steak was undercooked. Her response was ā€œOur Chef only cooks steaks that wayā€. My two brother in laws ordered the smash burger and he said it was very bland.

When the waitress finally came by and asked how everything was I asked her what happen to my steak because I never received my meal. At this point my entire family was done eating so I just told her to take it off my bill. After this I witnessed her go over to the manager and have a conversation. It was clearly about our experience due to the fact they she was pointing at our table and they both were looking in our direction.

What was even more mind blowing is that the manager literally went to the back of the restaurant and hid from us. He never even came over to our table to apologize for the experience we had. I will never, I repeat never go back to this place and I can guarantee I will tell everyone I know about my experience at this new ā€œClassyā€ restaurant.

Afterwards we went to Keller’s in the Casino and I ordered food there in a timely fashion and...

Let me preface by saying I love this restaurant. Tonight we had the crispy beef bites, stuffed mushrooms, and buffalo cauliflower. All were outstanding. For entrees we ordered the chicken Spedini, filet medallions, and tilapia.

The chicken and steak were outstanding and most of the tilapia was great. I took a bite of my wife’s tilapia and the second fillet (which was very thick) was raw. I spit it in a napkin and didn’t think much about it other than telling her not to eat the second piece. I looked at the chef and he was staring at me shaking his head and smirking. It was the craziest thing. He stared at me for a long time after I took the bite. It was very uncomfortable. I wasn’t trying to make him mad. In fact we didn’t even complain, partly because I felt so awkward and partly because we were celebrating and rarely get to eat at nice places.

We had a wonderful time and the food and drinks were excellent. It’s evident that the tilapia was frozen and just didn’t thaw properly.

I’ll be back but I won’t sit on the kitchen side. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my life. It’s my fault for not bringing it to the managers attention.

I do want to mention that it was odd that every single dish we had came out at different times. All of our entrees were over 5 minutes apart.

Let me stress, I love this place, but the chef needs...
