To me, if you like history and don’t get a tour at The Glenn House when you’re in Cape, you’re doing it wrong! It was a truly excellent experience. The guided tour my friend and I were given was amazing. I am blown away by the fact that volunteers have been pulling for literally decades to deliver the experience. Our guide, whose name i am going to guess is spelled Raina, was a delight and incredibly knowledgeable. Frankly, after the tour, I regretted not being able to volunteer and help out myself! Seems like such an interesting endeavor with loads of passionate people. The house itself was beautiful. I can only imagine the countless hours spent on making sure every single aspect of it was gorgeous. It truly seems like Victorian era wealth is on display. Every single room was jaw dropping and i wish i took more pictures. I was so caught up in the tour experience that I rarely thought to. There are so many details in each room. It’s amazing. I’d love to go back at a different time of year when they have changed up displays for the holidays.

Very cool historic site. This authentic Victorian home is now a museum. They've taken great care to restore it to its original condition with time appropriate furniture and decor. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The house and Glenn family have quite the history. The house is supposedly haunted and appeared on Ghost Hunters. I learned a lot about Cape Girardeau's history as well as the people of that time. I would recommend a visit if you're into history. 10/10

I went to the boo-tique event for October it was a small affair, but fun! Several vendors setup in the carriage house and back porch. I pre-registered for an 8pm tarot reading which ran late. The woman setup to read palms had a list of people waiting and I didn't have time to stay. They had already started the house tour, but let me go in the first floor with a young woman volunteer to take pictures. Which I so appreciated! A snack table and smores by the fire! I felt very welcome by everyone who works and voluteers there!

We had such a great time touring this historic home. It was set up for mourning when we visited and we were able to see some beautiful mourning wear. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable.

I have a feeling I would leave a 5 star review but we got there and it was closed even though Google and their website said it was open. Hoping to catch it next time!
