Royal Pizza — Restaurant in Carbondale

I normally love Royal Pizza but their customer service has gone way down hill. Tried to call and place an order tonight. First time I called they just let the phone keep ringing and after about 12 rings they picked up, I could hear noise in the background, and then hung up without saying anything. I called right back this time the only let it ring 5 times then a guy picks up and says "Royal Pizza, we're closed were out of dough" and hung up before I could even say anything. Not a way to run a business. Hell I wasn't even calling to order pizza was planning on placing a wing and hoagie order that would have been well over $60 to feed the family. Guess I'll have to try one of the other local pizza places, maybe they will want...

My roomate tried to surprise me by ordering food to the tune of $45 approximately. After he gives the order the guy tells him that he can not take a credit card over the phone for a carry out. I have never heard of this. We have ordered numerous times this way and there was never an issue. I stopped in to ask when this started. He said like 2 years. He said it is a federal law. I looked on line and can not find anything that says that. I asked about delivery and he said that the only way you can order with a credit card is if you show the card and Id when the driver arrives. Has anyone else ever heard of this? I can't tell you how disappointed I am. It is the best pizza in town...and their stromboli...

I placed a order at 5:35 pm..I ordered calzone with broccoli and fresh garlic, wings and breadsticks....did not receive order till 7:15pm...everything was cold...sent the wrong wings...no sauce for calzone..as well no garlic in the calzone..I specifically asked for extra garlic....when i ordered I told them I had coupon ..I dont believe they took that off.because the total was quite high..I used to order from there frequently...last 2 times I ordered it was not right...will not order there again!
