Tequila's — Restaurant in Carbondale

Went here few months ago, we were all hungry and this place was right across from the park so figured we'd give it a try. Went in got seated and got our drink orders and the complimentary basket of salsa and chips. Everything was good except we never received our orders that we placed. Instead we got the receipt from our waiter and told to have a nice day. So I told the waiter that we never received our order and he went to go check on it. By this time we'd been there for about an hour, I'm pretty patient which I guess can be my downfall when eating out but this time I was tired of waiting. So went and told the front desk I was only going to pay for the drinks and I no longer wanted our food orders. Then here comes the waiter telling us our orders were ready, told him no thanks since I knew that they'd more than likely been sitting under heating lamps the whole time. It was only 3 of us and we honestly didn't order much and had watched groups that came in after us be served. But anyway that was my terrible experience there and I don't plan going back, though I'm sure the food would have been excellent if we'd ever gotten the chance...

Old long time costumer New review. This was the best restaurant in town. I used to love the Stake Los Duenos. Today I was shocked to find out the prices went up again. The stake I get went up over 2 dollars. That's the good news. I got home the amount of food I got was half the amount I got before and the steak wasn't just smaller it was very low quality. I couldn't even swallow it was so tuff and it didn't have any flavor at all.🤮 I have no problem paying more money, I just want the delicious stake I got there before. Tequila's I'm still hungry after paying $23.00 to eat there. 😫

I placed a take out order for cheese enchiladas and received beef enchiladas. Instead of being understanding and apologetic, the waiter who took my order blamed me and said I must have forgot to ask for cheese or he misheard. I’ve been a vegetarian for almost a decade.. I know how to order a vegetarian meal. They told me to bring back the original meal and they’d replace it. When I got to the store, the waiter reminded me that it must have been my fault.

On another occasion, I witnessed the employees putting the chairs on the tables and turning the lights out over an hour before they actually closed. We had to ask the waiter when they closed because it felt like we were being pushed out. The waiter said no rush and they didn’t close until 10:30 and it was only 9 something. This was after not receiving the right margarita size and being charged for two small margaritas and not the larger size...
