Worst experience on Fourth of July. I was sober and the bartender was overly rude. Took forever to get anything. The water cooler was out of water. At closing time the bartender started yelling at everyone. Came up to our group to yell at us telling everyone to get the f* out. I feel like that could of been said without that word. Snatched a drink out of my friends hand because he was trying to finish drinking it before going out the door. Didn’t even card any of us so good think we were all over 21. Being one of the few bars that are open on holidays they should try and keep business coming back not scare it away. Next time we will just drink at home rather than go...

While I haven't been there recently, I have always enjoyed my experiences at the cellar. Best Bloody Marys in Carbondale, hands down. Located down a long flight of stairs, so wheelchair accessibility is an issue. Beyond that, it's a fantastic bar. The Bartenders have always been friendly, and quick, although much like any popular bar, when it's crowded it may take you a minute to get your drink. But it's not for lack of service. Tried to stop by and grab a beer after work for the first time. My husband and I stood by the bar for 12 minutes while the short blonde bartender ignored us, and walked by us several times clearing the bar. I said hey friend, can we get a beer. She responded yea when i get a chance. She walked past us for 5 more minutes and we left. We wont be back, and based on the lack of service, it explains why the place was so empty… some people just dont want...
