Very disappointed, hopefully they get their act together. Ordered some wings online, showed up a bit early since I didn't see the text until we parked that it should be done at 5:10. Waited outside a bit, popped in at 5:02 to see if maybe it was done early. Was told it would be a few more minutes. 5:10 came, no food. Went inside again at 5:15pm. Same answer, it will be a few more minutes. Ok, restaurant has 5 total people inside already eating, and there are a few people coming here and there for pick up. In summary it's not busy at all. 5:23 pm, same answer again. At this point I said cancel my order. They said the drumsticks were ready but it would be another 4 minutes for wings. (Why?) How does that make sense. At this point I was done, and had them refunded my money. If the restaurant was actually busy, if they had a lot of people coming in and out picking up orders, maybe this would have been moderly acceptable, but a slow restaurant can't cook up 10 wings in 40+ minutes. Also doesn't help when your cook is walking past the window texting on his phone. Can't comment on the food, was really hoping for some good wings but I guess that's a tall request from a place with the word Chicken...
Read morePretty disappointed with this place. We tried to order on Friday night (1/17) after seeing online that it closed at 9p. We placed a DoorDash order around 8:15p, got the confirmation, and headed over (we live about 10 minutes away).
We arrived at 8:25p but received a cancellation notification as we parked, citing a âstore-related issue.â Thinking it was an error, we went inside, where a family was still eating. The cashier told us they canceled the order because they close at 8:30p. They werenât friendly, and it was clear they wanted to close early due to slow business.
Nowhere was it stated they closed at 8:30p. We placed our order with enough time even if that were the case. To make matters worse, the staff was rude about the cancellation.
While we sat in the parking lot looking for other options, the store turned off the lights as soon as the last family left (around 8:30p). We then saw another customer enter the dark store to pick up an online order.
The store needs to update its hours and improve customer service. Based on this experience, we wonât return or recommend this place. There are plenty of other Korean fried chicken spots, and we found one nearby with excellent...
Read moreMy family and I have been customers of this restaurant for four years, but my visit tonight has left me questioning if I will ever eat a meal from Chicken Basket again. One of the main reasons I like this restaurant is because I follow a gluten free diet, and Chicken Basket uses rice flour in place of wheat flour when preparing their chicken. I was thrilled to know I could finally eat a piece of fried chicken again! However, based on the pain in my stomach, I suspect the chicken was prepared with wheat flour this time instead. Iâm wondering how long my stomach will be reminding me of that mistake. When I received my order, it looked more like leftovers than a freshly prepared meal. The chicken was cold and soggy, while the fries looked as if they had been refried several times. We ordered three drinks, and the boba pearls were very mushy and unappealing. Overall, this visit was a huge disappointment. The quality of the food has continued to decrease while the prices have continued to increase. When I pay $73 for dinner for a family of 3, I expect better quality. I hope they can turn things around, but for now, Iâll be looking elsewhere for a...
