Great Khan's Mongolian Grill Carlsbad — Restaurant in Carlsbad

Too loud, too packed, too expensive, not at all tasty sort of bland. AND there was plastic in my food. I told the worker and he didn’t have much to say but when I asked him if maybe this came from a bag that was from the frozen veggies or meat he didn’t deny it and said oh yeah maybe. I gave him a high eyebrow raise and tilted my head kind of like that’s bad business and I think he knew what was up and I left. Also, I think they violate a lot of health and safety codes… We all touch the tongs to the food and that’s spreading lots of germs instead of hanging one or two people use the tongs with gloves and serve the customers. I asked the guy to rinse the tongs because this lady wasn’t just using them to grab her food but rather push it down on the bottom part where you grab the food with her fingers because she was trying to press down her gigantic bowl of food. Guy saw this and I had to ask/mention two to three times for him to go wash the tongs. Oh my goodness…. So gross! And dangerous too with me almost eating plastic but thank God I didn’t!!! I just spotted it in my food. LUCKILY!!! The lights are so dim in there!!!

Overall bad experience. My husband hated it and didn’t finish it and I took a few bites as well. Bleh!!!! 👎

Okay at best.

When walking up to the counter the cashier actually walked away from us after helping those in front of us in line. Had to get his attention to take our order. Seemed very bored and disinterested in his job.

When getting the meat and veggies there was a decent selection. 4 meats and more than 10 types of veggies. However, when it's time to add sauce it's basically just "spicy or not". There's very little flavor customization.

The food was served to us piping hot and we were quite excited as we love Mongolian grills. But this was disappointing. It was very bland. I believe this is due to the lack of sauce options. They put the sauce on for you so you don't get much choice.

Overall 2/10 won't be going back. Acceptable but too expensive for how bland...

First time at this mall and nothing was explained to me about this great khan restaurant. The Hispanic lady insisted on noodles Insaid I’m gluten free I can’t have noodles she gave me one bowl refused rice and said they didn’t have rice and then re used a bowl for vegetables I got very little food very cheap food for a very expensive price. Tons of sauce was doused in my bowl which was no linger gluten free andni wasn’t asked by the cooks they jsut handed me my very hot food walked away and let the sauces sink into paper bowl I had something very spicy in my food.
