Yard House — Restaurant in Carlsbad

One of my favorite places to dine out.

Love the ambience with dim lighting combined with 90's music playing in the background.

Every item on the menu that I've tried so far has been delcious and rich with flavor.

Most importantly all of the staff that I've interacted with always have a smile on their face and genuinely look happy to be there. So, I love the positive work environment that leadership has created here.

Below are just a couple of highlights from interactions with bartenders/servers that I've experienced which I wanted to share because I believe individuals should always be recognized when excellent customer service is provided.

Name: Interaction/Highlight

Brittney: Recommended an delicious dish which was the "Thai Pork Chop". Also, let me sample one of her own cocktail recipies she came up with which I'm still waiting to be added to the menu because it was amazing. If I remember correctly she wanted to call it the "Brit".

Gabby: Recommended one of the hamburgers and the jambalaya. I had the hamburger. Can't remember what the name of it was but, it was super good. I told Gabby I like it when servers are able to recommend their personal favorite menu items and she agreed also saying that it's one of the things she always recommends employee's do when there new is to different menu items so they can recommend items to customers. Love the team building mentality and willingness to share tips on how to provide better customer service.

Kaiya: I was in between the chicken bowl and cilantro lime chicken items on the menu and Kaiya recommended the cilantro lime chicken saying she eats it all the time. And she did not steer me wrong. I really enjoyed the dish.

Staff that consistently provide excellent customer service along with amazing food results in a pleasant dining experience which will keep customers coming back.

Yard House is a perfect example of what other restaurants...

Ordered turkey avocado sandwich and it was plentiful. It was delicious. Definitely will be back to Yard House when I'm in the area. 03-20-2022 Went to have dinner. We sat in the bar area. Conner came over, asked if we wanted any cocktails, so we placed our order. Quick service. Conner came back a few minutes later and asked if we wanted to order appetizers or any meals. We ordered appetizers and our meals. The service and attentiveness of the server, also the Manager came by to ask how we were being treated,. The service and attentiveness at this location is unreal.....such polite staff, always making sure your are well attended and asking if there is anything else they can do or get for us. This is now on our regular, favorite and definately return-to list. 07-25-2022 enjoyed an early dinner with daughter and Auntie. Order off the happy hour menu, classic sliders, chicken lettuce wraps, calamari and drinks. Food was easy to share and very enjoyable. Our waitress was KRISTEN who did a great job with our order taking. She continually came by to check to make sure we were enjoying our meal and asking if we needed anything else. Very attentive to her customers. KUDOS TO KRISTEN 10-14-2023 stopped by for a quick bite. Service was a little slow. 20 minutes to order food. After we finally got our meals, they never came back to check to see if we needed anything. We ordered drinks after we flagged the bartender, since we were sitting at the bar area. I recently visited Yard House and I have to say, I was quite impressed. Overall, I would give it a solid 4 stars out of 5.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively and energetic. The dim lighting and upbeat music created a fun and casual vibe. The decor was modern and trendy, adding to the overall ambiance.

The menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of options from burgers and sandwiches to salads and seafood. I especially appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options, as I have dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations. The portion sizes were also generous, making it a great value for the price.

One of the highlights of my experience at Yard House was the service. Our server was attentive and friendly, and made great recommendations for drinks and food. The drink menu was impressive, with a large selection of beers on tap and handcrafted cocktails. I highly recommend trying their signature sangria.

The only reason I did not give Yard House a full 5 stars is because of the noise level. The restaurant was quite loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices. However, this did not take away from the overall experience.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Yard House for a fun and delicious dining experience. The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch and I will definitely be returning...
