Knights' Smokehouse BBQ — Restaurant in Carlsbad

We have been to LegoLand CA about 30x this year alone. Overall the food is better than SeaWorld but not as good as the Zoo....

We went to the BBQ place for lunch, it was not good at all. The Brisket was just fat, like 2 full slices were only fat and zero meat.🤢 The pulled pork was like shreaded jerkey it was so dry, not an exaggeration. The sausages and BBQ sauce were good, but not $40+ for 2 people with an Elite pass discount, and we didn't get drinks, just water. 🤷🏼‍♂️ This was our 2nd time eating here and it was most definitely worse that the 1st, never again. I'm a big guy and like my food and this was just bad. The buns are so fluffy they are 80% air, 2 bites each. How about add some fries to the plate.

A little pickle in a bag is over $5, no wonder they don't list a price, they get you with sticker shock at the register and hope you just buy it anyway. The same exact thing at Walmart is $1.25. Crazy price mark up!!

Do not waste...

My son loved his kids meal and the biscuits al la carte.....his roasted corn on the cob was delicious! I ordered the bbq haven only to discover the dry rub was overly salty I'm sire they add herbs and spices, but, all I could taste was salt on the ribs and brisket..the pulled pork was okay so long as I didn't get a "crust piece" unfortunately I ended up throwing away most of my meal. I also tried the street corn and beans...beans were perfectly seasoned and warm. The street corn however had the texture of corn that was cooked and left out over night and bland...tasted like stale chili powder and cheese. I want to say it's a great deal for authentically smoked meats but it was either too salty or...

Meat! If you’re looking for meat during your Legoland visit, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for vegetarian options, look elsewhere. They do the line right, at least for making bad decisions, deserts first, then sides, and then main courses. The food was a little salty but very tasty. We ended up with a la carte meals and a kids meal. Be warned, the kids meals contain fries, enough for an adult to share. Expensive, but better with the annual pass discount.
