Kolache Factory — Restaurant in Carmel

I have been debating whether or not to post, as I am a person that doesn't like giving 1 star reviews. However, I need to share. Around Thanksgiving my wife and I went to Kolache factory because we wanted a pick me up. We see the warm rolls as a comfort food. We wanted to share the experience with family. We got to the counter and apologized for the long list and my wife started ordering. In the middle of the list my wife mis-spoke, to which the person taking the order rudely states, that is not on the menu. So I start scanning the menu. My wife finishes her list, and I ask if she meant another item. To which she said yes that is the one I meant. My wife then turns to me and asks me why was that person so rude. The gentleman then yells across the store, "just so you know, I don't have to serve you. I can kick you out". We paid and took our food. I followed up with the guy as to what was the problem and he said my wife was rude. All she did was order food. All that guy has to do was smile and say thank you for your service. It is literally a 3 minute interaction to order food, yet this guy blew up. So instead of running to google reviews I send an email to customer service and let them know, they have an employee that could benefit from coaching. Corporate sent an email response back to me saying, The guy Interacted with is the franchise owner. That he had a different account of the situation. Cooperate then said that my story must be wrong and discredited my experience and claimed that franchise owner must be right. Then they encouraged me to just go to a...

I was very disappointed. There was me and another customer walked in about the same time. We waited and waited no one came to the front to help us. Finally i said hello and 3 heads popped out. One from the office one from the bathroom and one was in the back doing trash. I placed my order stating I had never been there and the girl seemed frustrated that I asked questions. I bought 6. 2 egg and sausage, 2 rancheros, and 1 that was long and skinny that she said was a sausage plus 1 dessert apple i think... it fell apart so i couldnt eat it. Anyway the sausage one i bought to eat for lunch but it was not sausage it was a hot dog and the others i saved for dinner. I warmed them up at 30 seconds a piece like the girl suggested but they were so doughy i could only eat a half of one my husband ate a ranchero and when he opened the other one it was some kind of bbq he said that one was pretty good. But being so doughy i was scared to eat them because of them being egg products. I wanted them to be good but was dissapointed... probably...

I’ve eaten here before years ago and the food and service was great, so I was looking forward to introducing my husband to the kolache rolls. Todays food and service was horrible! The strudel was rock hard and I was told with an attitude well you took a bite so I’m not changing it everyone knows they come that way and then they started speaking in Spanish to each other. The best one today was the biscuit and gravy it had some flavor and it saucy, the others didn’t have any flavor and they were dry. The egg cheese and ham croissant had very little meat and cheese as the steak and egg and bacon and egg were the same. Dry, no flavor, very little cheese. I was beyond disappointed with the food and service. I won’t be returning to this location and it’s possible I won’t eat at another one. I’d recommend trying a much nicer location if your taste buds want one of these. There are also gnats flying around and of course the food is uncovered.
