Most reviews start off with the business and food and somewhere down the line service gets mentioned. Today is going to be different. SERVICE: Scott C. was amazing! I'd have to say our favorite server we have had in many years! I do a lot of reviews and we eat out a lot and can't even begin to tell you what a gem this place has in this guy! Very engaging and personable. He has a great sense of humor and a gift for knowing his audience and makes everyone feel welcome. I watched and listened and he was the same way with all his tables. He knew when to turn it up and when to turn it down. He truly connects with customers of all ages. Nicely done, Scott! You made an already positive experience even better. Tip this guy well. He totally deserves it and earns it. Now the food. Delicious home cooking. I had the country fried steak, fried potatoes, 2 eggs, and toast. All I can say is WOW! The breading was superb and blended nicely with the gravy. My wife had 4 very large strips of bacon, eggs, seasoned potatoes, and toast. She was overwhelmed with the portion size. Definitely needed a box. Our daughter had a monster stack of pancakes and after eating a few of my potatoes decided she wanted a side for herself. What an amazing place with an incredible server named Scott!

Food is quite pricey and very ala carte.... Bacon is a greasy mess.... There is literally no substance to it, it simply becomes powder in your mouth and you're left with a ton of grease to upset your stomach. Don't get me wrong, we all love the grease in bacon, but I didn't realize this was a big chain and it seems like they've realized the profits in buying lower end products when you span that over a large chain. This grease wasnt even like normal bacon grease, it was just gross. Omelet was low in cheese and $8 doesn't get you any items. Every item is another $.80.... eggs were fluffy in it but still, not a $10 omelet. French toast is soggy in the middle and they say thick cut but it is about 1/8 inch thick.... So apparently thick to them is 1/8 inch.... Soggy french toast fans will probably love this, but I'm used to a nice thick piece of toast that is properly cooked. Only reason for a 2 star over 1 is our server was super sweet and nice. Receipt says "W-OGRaeven" so I don't remember her name but she was sweet and great and earned the 2nd star. Otherwise this would be a 1 star. Price and quality are lacking big time....

Last morning in town with family so we wanted a nice brunch. We ordered French toast, biscuits and gravy and eggs bendict with potatoes. This was a very disappointing breakfast. The eggs benedict had no yolk, the eggs were way over cooked, the hollandaise was made by someone who was heavy handed with the lemon juice and my potatoes were cold. I had asked for crispy. I sent it back and did a create your own omlette, super fast she reminded me the kitchen was closing. I hurried. . I was hungry so I took a bite of the biscuits and bacon gravy. We asked for a side of sausage ,they only had turkey sausage here. The biscuit was hard and dry which was not cured by the bacon gravy. This flavorless gooey substance was not good. The French toast was yummy, I was happy for that bite. I had ordered an egg white omlette, mushrooms, onion, spinach and goat cheese. This was fantastic comparatively. Overall. We didn't feel welcome coming in 75 minutes before closing and we should not have eaten any of this food. It didn't sit well.

I'm giving a star for our waitress and a star for the food, since she was great and the food was delicious. That's where the positives ended for me though. We got there maybe 45 minutes before closing and the host took us straight to the most crowded corner of the restaurant--I tried asking if we could sit in the other section that was wide open and he said something about not being able to seat people "in the back" anymore (I can only guess because it was within a certain range of closing time? The restaurant isn't that big, so this was confusing). We sat there for a few minutes and between being surrounded by other patrons and the overly loud music I was feeling close to a panic attack, so when our waitress came we asked her and she was happy to move us to a less crowded area.

That made things a little better, but no matter where you sat, there was a Bose speaker nearly right above you and the music was WAY too loud. Listening to Bon Jovi yell/scream "lay your hands on me" over and over again made me feel like taking him up on it. We eventually asked our waitress if the music could be turned down and it got better for maybe 5-10 minutes, but then I'm guessing it turned back up automatically. This really ruined what we had hoped would be a nice relaxing brunch experience.

Finally, the wait time for our food was really long. Again, we got there towards the end of their day so they weren't busy, but it still took at least 20-30 minutes for our food to come out. It was hot, and very good, but not worth enduring the blaring music for that long to eat it.

Oh, and their espresso machine was broken. Not a good business proposition when there's a...

In town for the April, 2024 eclipse, we decided to head to Wild Eggs for breakfast. We've been to several in the Louisville area before so it was a known commodity and it was a short walk from our hotel.

We were seated immediately (it was a Monday, so it wasn't packed) and sat quite a while before we were greeted (they appeared to be somewhat short staffed). No matter, because we were with our best friends from Albuquerque.

A couple cups of coffee later and we ordered our meals. I'm a big fan of Wild Eggs' Western Omelet, so that was an easy choice for me. Food delivery was a bit long (about 20 minutes), but was delivered mostly hot. My toast wasn't warm enough to melt butter.

The staff that was there was hustling taking care of tables and getting food. Because they appeared to be a little light on personnel tables were left for a while after emptied.

It's odd to visit a Wild Eggs that isn't slammed. They can be very loud and hectic (I don't know that that they've ever heard of acoustic tiles), so this visit was surprisingly NOT loud and hectic. That was a nice change.

It was a pleasant enough visit, especially given we were there with our best friends. If we find ourselves in Carmel we'll definitely...
