Minus stars my Samsung refrigerator went on the blink so I called Appliance Pros a man named Chris called me back I explained my situation he said he could be here in about 2 hours as he was in the area, ok more like 4-5 hours later ( first red flag) he shows up older man with a cane ok he tells us the refrigerator needs a thermistor after doing a diagnostic test he needed to order the part total would 300 parts and labor this is a Friday afternoon he’s on the phone ordering the part ( supposedly) tells us he needs 200 now and 100 when the job is complete the part should come in Monday if it comes sooner he will call and come by . Ok Monday comes I text and call him he says he’s on his way , never shows this goes on all week we are in constant contact I call , my husband calls we text he texts back he’s on his way , he had an emergency. We finally called another repair company ( lucky I have another refrigerator I transferred my food to) they fixed it was the fan motor. This man that scammed us out of 200 dollars be aware of , we are both seniors my husband a Vietnam veteran, we learned our lesson, it didn’t hurt us but I want to make sure people are aware of him because to some that money he scammed could really hurt someone financially.

I’m a gamer and enjoy Magic: The Gathering as a fun hobby. I’ve been stopping by this Meijer for the past few weeks to check out the cards, but the section is almost always wiped out. During Christmas, the BOGO 40% off deal was awesome, but now that the cards are restocked, it’s clear there’s a theft problem. A lot of sets are missing or half-empty within a day or two of being put on the shelf. I really think you should add a camera above the card section or move the display to the front of the store. Other places like Walmart and Target keep their cards near the registers, which seems to help because there are more people around to keep an eye on things. Having the cards stuck near books and electronics without any security isn’t working. It’d be great to see some changes so people like me can actually buy the cards instead of finding empty shelves. Edit: Since my review Meijer has installed cameras in the card section! I was very surprised! Adjusting my review score to 4 star.

I just walked away from this Meijer I will never be returning, they didn't have any half sized carts in the store for customers. I walked in the East side entrance near the produce, then walked to the other entrance, they had no carts there. I asked the greeter if they could get the cart pushers to get carts and he laughed. I asked who the team lead on duty was, he pointed to some random girl who look shocked he said she was the manager. She just shrugged and said they're busy and to go outside and get one. Look Meijer, I'm a Customer, not an employee. Look at how many carts were in almost every corral in my photo and tell me if this acceptable. I legitimately am taking my money that I spend here every week and going to Kroger, Trader Joe's, and, Whole Foods instead. We have plenty of options.

The review is more for the store credit card company, Comenity, but a portion will regard this location and its employees. On 07/14/17 I signed up for a Meijer store credit card and in the initial email I received was advised I could use a temporary shopping pass until my physical card arrived. The first time I used the temporary pass there was not a bump or issue with completing the steps needed. During the process the system requires myself and the cashier to confirm the address on file. The address that appeared was correct and with an apartment number. A week later I still did not receive the card and went to Meijer, did my regular weekly shopping and when the cashier finished ringing my items, I requested to use the temporary pass because I had not received a physical card. The cashier looked at me like I had blown her mind with the statement. She advised she didn't know what that was and couldn't do that. I asked if she could have someone come over and assist, to which she replied there was no one around to help her. I used my debit card and paid for my items. I went to the customer service desk and asked if the items I purchased could be moved from my debit card to the Meijer credit card. The male at the customer service desk advised they could, but would need to return all the items and rescan each item. I advised if he didn't mind doing that I would greatly appreciate this. He did just that and was done within a few minutes. Weeks later I receive an email that the company received returned mail and to log into my account to update my address. First, to log into an account one needs to have a physical card in hand to register. Second, there was no phone number listed for the company. After searching through Google, I found a customer service number and gave it a ring. The female who answered, Angie, was completely unhelpful and unfriendly. She states that I forgot to add my apartment number when I initially signed up. This statement was repeated numerous times to me, I'm assuming to make her feel better about herself. I disagreed because I used the shopping pass prior and the apartment number was listed. Finally, Angie states that she can update my address, 'because you left out your apartment number' and resend the welcome information. I asked if this welcome information has the physical card since I have yet to receive it. She then questioned why I didn't get the card. I ignored the question and asked if the card could be resent. Angie advised it would be a standard 7-10 business days before my card would arrive. I received no sliver of empathy, no glimmer of compassion. Instead I was told again, 'you forgot to enter your apartment number.' If and when I do receive my physical card I will pay off what I used and cut the card up. I'll update once I receive the physical card for reference how long it took. Meijer isn't a great store to shop at anyway. If you're an mPerks member you receive $2 for every $100 spent, which is only a 0.02% return. Meijer wants its customer to believe this is a savings and a reason to shop for all one's needs only at their stores. I think its time I take all of my...

I agree with the other reviewers that the service at this store has really gone downhill! I went to the Carmel Meijer to return a toy that my mother purchased my son for his birthday. She lost the receipt but I told her not to worry about it as Meijer is usually great with returns. I've spent hundreds of dollars a week at Meijer. It is a very convenient location for me and I frequent it several times a week on my lunch breaks. The lady behind the counter, upon entering my drivers license info, said she couldn't take it back because I was told in December that I wouldn't be allowed to do another return without receipt. I told her that is absolutely not true - I think I would remember being told that! I did make a return in December but was told no such thing - hence me telling my mother that it wouldn't be a problem. I figured I would get store credit which was fine by me since I shop so much there. Well no more! My plan was to do some shopping after making the return, but I was so upset by being accused of lying, that I've decided that I will be doing my shopping elsewhere. I write this from the Kroger parking lot, in fact. And shopping there was an amazingly pleasant experience with very similar prices. Bye Meijer - sorry you will be losing my business over a silly toy! You might want to train your Customer Service staff at your Carmel store to be a little friendlier and not accuse frequent customers of lying (I've also had experience with this particular lady when I've shipped packages from there and she's not the most pleasant to deal...

We were in town with some friends who had never been to Meijer before for the Great Eclipse of 2024. Being from Michigan and proud to have shopped at Meijer for probably 40 years, I had to introduce or friends to Meijer.

Since the eclipse was still several hours away, we decided we needed some snackery to while away the afternoon, waiting for The Great Darkness. This Meijer was just down the road from hour hotel, so it was easy.

We took great delight in showing Meijer off to our friends from Albuquerque. We walked them through every department. Shoes. Grocery. Deli. Bakery. Pets. Automotive. Hardware. You get the idea. They were rightfully WOW'd by everything.

To the snackery stuffs we went, grabbing a variety pack of chips (mandatorily, Doritos® and Dr Pepper®), some beef jerky, and some nuts.

While we didn't have any staff engagement while we were here, we were glad to see personnel stocking shelves and being very present. If we needed help we wouldn't have had to go very far.

This Meijer layout is what I've come to call the New Generation. Wider aisle and greatly differently arranged than the Meijer of olde. After decades I like to see that Meijer doesn't get stale and frequently updates their locations. I also have to tout the their Frederik's line of food items.

In the unlikely event we find ourselves in Carmel again, I know where there's an awesome Meijer. And our friends from...
